I love this singer, but her performance of this song doesn't work for me. I much prefer her lower register. She changes the melody too much, even by her own standards. But thanks for posting, I still enjoyed it in spite of my remarks.

For years, I have said that Anita Baker has the same stage presence as Judy Garland. She is small (like Judy) and projects such elegance, grace, and class. Her mannerisms are also very Judy like. Look at her hand gestures and posture. Just beautiful!

Anita Baker is an amazingly classy singstress. I have always enjoyed listening to her sing just about anything she does. I live in the same community that she and her family live in here in SE Michigan and she often sings the national anthem for the start of the games for the Detroit Pistons, Tigers & Lions. I simply love her.
