  • Why this KOLAVERI among people here?

  • whispering tone of rafi sahab !!!!!! what a voice modulation !!!!!!!!!

  • WOW WHAT A SONG!

ASHA LOOKS VERY DEMURE & JOY@S VERY HANDSOME!

  • joy mukherjee, biswajeet and pradeep kumar were horrible actors. their movies ran only because of the music of SJ, OP and roshan

  • oh the words from all languages will lack to define RAFI SAHAB 's singing , what a great romantic voice of RAFI G what the feelings conveyed during singing. It is literally the song which show "TADAP" for someone in love.

  • Music has no religion, rather music itself is religion, Rafi is dear to all, regardless of his/her religion, cast, creed, When I want to do pooja or feel like going to mandir (temple), I just listen to Rafi, when I listen to Rafi, I feel close to God, in heaven, I don't feel the need to do pooja or go to temple, such is divine voice of Rafi. His Gayaki is magical, hypnotical

  • Music has no religion, rather, music itself is religion. Rafi is dear to all, regardless of his/her religion, cast, creed, When I want to to pooja, Bhakti, go to temple,, I just listen to Rafi and I feel close to God, heaven I feel the need to do pooja or go to temple such divine is his voice, Gayaki.

  • this song is close to me.joy mukhrerjee is so handsome even actors of today stand nowhere in front of him.i am a youth of today still i admit that old is really gold.Iwish if i could had seen the period of golden era in front of my eyes.Today movies are nothing but a junk of garbage.eg-thank you

naari ko samman ki nazron se dekha jaana chahiye naaki unhe item girl banake, film ko hit karane ke liye chhote kapade-kissing scenes add karna this is all rubbish.i can't see these films with my family.

  • There's something mysterious in the way Rafi sang this song...the fine vibrato on his voice makes it seem like a ghost is singing.

  • Shankar-Jaikishen at their finest. Incredible to say the least.

  • Music icons are made by the music lovers and audience , a phenomenon which is not based on ethnicity. They are our sweet heroes.

  • nice song!

  • This is my fev. song. i never heard this kind of melodious voice which rafi has. thanks you rafi to come in our life and give us your voice.

  • This is my fev. song. i never heard this kind of melodious voice which rafi has. thanks you rafi to come in our life and give us your voice.

  • Are Jay Mukerjee and Rani Mukerjee in any way related?

  • Comment removed

  • @ojsikandary Kajol Mukherjee and Rani Mukherjee are nieces of Joy Mukherjee. So them fathers (of kajol and rani) are brothers of Joy Mukherjee.

  • Rafi Sahab is simply divine. Only the almighty can sing like this. We are blessed to hear this melodious voice.

  • felt soooo nice to hear this osng after such a long time.... :D :D

  • ASHA PAREKH LOOKS STUNNING & JOY MUKHERJEE IS SOO HANDOME. BEAUTIFUL COUPLE!

  • Please people just enjoy Rafi Saheb's sexy voice in this song!!!

  • LIKING AND DISLIKING should not be based on RELIGION

  • @nawabshaukat WELL SAID!

  • i just dont know why the hell people always bring religion in every thing in life. my opinion says, which ever persons thoughts are like this, they seem to eat shit, thats the reason of those bullshits in there minds.

    thats all folks.........

please enjoy the songs from a great man with a great voice........and who will always live in many hearts.

  • While you guys fight over stupid things, let me enjoy such a beautiful song sung by such a marvelous singer. Only humility matches his great voice. I am a big fan of this precious gift to humanity. Thank you Ravi Saab. Your voice will be enjoyed by everyone who appreciate music and singing. I don't have to be Indian or Pakistani. I am just a poor Tibetan.

  • Unbelievely fantastic, that's all I can think of for Rafi Sahab's captivatingly romantic voice plus a magical performance by both Joy Mukherjee and Asha Parekh.

    Thnx for posting.

  • am feeling sleepy. i want 2 sleep

  • Lets enjoy this classic by the great Rafi Sahab, this type of music will probably never return to entertain the millions; another marvellous SJ tune delivered to the best of its kind one can imagine.

  • Second! sad really sad India could not able to produce singers like Rafi Saab, Kishore, Mukesh in last 50 years. Now we only left with Lata and Asha as last legends.

Its so sad that we have all kind crappy so called singers who only can able to imitate those great singers in their crappy voice. Records 100 songs in their crappy voice and think that they are they best singers.

Listen his voice goes from low pitch to high pitch with little support from music, his voice was real sound of music.

  • First of all who ever bring religion in the name of singer are bastards.

I love Rafi Saab, Kishore Kumar, Mukesh, Lata and Asha and I believe these are the greatest singer India produced.

just listen to this song the variations in the voice.

Any music lover knows that while Rafi saab singing the background music was very low, meaning here singer supporting the music and not the other way like today where music support the singer.

  • frnds.... GOD has created us as humans not as hindu or muslim...nd those who fight for religions r men of evil. moses fought for jewish ppl.. muhammad fought for islam. hitler fought for germany. ali jinnah fought for indian muslims..... nd g bush fought for america.. those who fight nd make u fight... those who divide nd make man kill man r sons of evil.. we mustn`t follow them..... be a good human being... dats GOD demand from you.... no need to be hindu or muslim be good human being only

  • @londonking2008 U R great. The truth is explained proficiently. The truth is so visible. Just like day light. But its a pity people are blindfolded with various RELIGEOUS MYTHOLOGIES. Worse than slaves. No escape at all.Born to the Myth. Living in the Myth.Dying with the Myth.

  • @londonking2008

u forgot 2 say ram fought 4 sita n ravana fought 4 fucking sita

  • Asha Parekh must have been both the Love and the Fuck of the year for

anybody who had her. She is the most beautiful woman on the screen

    i ever saw.

  • super songgggggggggggggggggg

  • NO match in thwe wold to Shankar-Jaikishan-Rafi. Long live all these greats.

  • he

    chal gane de

    thoda hawa ane de

    oh sorry

    radhe radhe

  • yes grow up morons & rafi saab sang it with depth poreh dilse gaya u dont

    pick the nonsense

  • Mohammad Rafi ji was a great singer, there is no one after him nor one before him! Loved the song, amazing voice.

  • What a beautiful song. I salute to Rafi sahaab & the Director Pramod Chakraborti who made such a beautiful movie.

  • beautiful song !

  • Don't crucify me - this is just my opinion but to be quite honest, I think this song would be much better without the quivering effect Rafi puts in the middle.

  • Although Mohd.Rafi has sung many romantic songs but this one has mesmerising effect and that too ,recorded in those old days when technology for tracks recording was missing. Those were the days of live recordings ,when the whole song was to be re-recorded in case of any mistake. Hats off to Rafi and SJ... great composers..

  • dekh fiza main rang bhara hai.. maire jigar ka zakhm hara hai..... seene se mere sir ko laga de... hath main tere dil ki dawa hai.... Aja re aa zara... lahra kah aa zara... apna sulagna kis kis ko dikhaoon... Saans ke toofan kese chupaooo???? Aankhen kia kia dekh rahee hain... Dil pe jo guzre, kaise bataoon?? Great!
  • who sang this????

  • lovely song...but why do they have to wear the sari this way....my good lord....kya hoga...ha ha ha

  • wech suresh, bravo kouzin c vrai, moi g sui d paris et ta raison, just appreciate the genious of these great singers ,whoever rafi shaab, mukesh sahaab or kishore bhayya they r all greattt & they left to all memeorable souvenirs

  • Most Romantic song till today I like this

  • At least a Bollywood musical that is satisfying both to ear and eyes.

  • Erotic and mesmerising. Rafi was a a genius plus or wat I don't hav words.

  • Oh my my just check out the vibration in Rafi saab's voice....can u believe no computer effects,no huge orchestra, dang, and this man " Rafi " singing it in such an easy way but no amusements coz after all its Muhammad Rafi saab.......!

  • asha parekh looks so sensuous and beautifull.her expressions are also excellent .another good song by raffi saab

    vvramachandrarao

  • Now which of them will not stink??? I think all of them will!!! So now what makes a person think that his or her religion is more supreme??

  • isn't it the song, voice, melody or the rhythm that attracts us to a song? where does religion, race or anything come in there? have the heart and the guts to appreciate anything that is good, even if it not your religion or race. Folks who talk about race, religion, caste etc....see if u can answer this - there are 3 corpses, a hindu, muslim & a christian....and you leave them unattended for few days.

  • A very tough song to sing.. for anyone.. hands up for great king Rafi sir....

Really amazing song... with wavy emotions.....

  • If we human understand why we are here on earth what is reason behind i think we shell be honest and never pray to any other one and then we can live togather one nation on earth with peace and love but its very hard to belive it,Its sad story partitation of subcontenent but we can live like family but we are educated but fools and lie with nice cloths in front of media,

  • Sach to yeh hay ki dunia banae wala koi, zindagi mout daine wala koi, tarah tarah ki laziz khane, fruit, banane wala koi, zameen, asman our huge universe banae wala koi our jahan poja ki bat to poja kisi our ki wo bhi apne hi hathoon ke banaye hoi mortian ya pather ke sanam ham ni tuje mohabat ka khuda jana bari bhool hoi ham se tuje kia samja kia jana mager wo to sirf pathar ke sanam hai,

  • awesome song....

  • Religion is a belief and faith .... not to remove religion as a condition of everything ...

  • Dear Muslim friends, on behalf of IronGuy I apologise. for all the hatred and venom he has poured. All of us Indians are not like that (I assume he is Indian). On your part please examine if we should love only singers of our own religion. Rafi Saheb was no.1 not because of the 9-10% Muslim population (as it then was) but because of the 82% Hindus + Sikhs + others. IronGuy please give me time and I will convince you with love

  • kick out the Paki pigs from here,,they drag religion in every field and topic...they bastard only know language of foots.PAKIS go and listen ur mendi hasan and nusrat fatta khan

  • Lovely HINDI songs are written by brilliant lyricists and then tune and orchestra are by again brill Music Directors, then a SINGER sings them.Singer ALONE should not get ALL the credit. ALL singer are BEST in their own styles.

  • this song shows you can be extremely sexy withoiut being vulgar...superb singing man!

  • Alaaaa me encanto esta cancion nose que rayos dice pero se oye super romanticaa y Asha se ve hermoooosaa diosss que hermosa se ve aquii ♥

  • Best Sexy song of all time.......

  • I prefer Kishore but lots of non muslims admire rafi. pakis cant bring themselves to appreciate kishore!

  • @cinnamonianpalona, tht is bullshit, wa u sayin, every1 has there own taste

  • iv never heard so much bullshit, ur such a bjp extremist berk!!

theres loads of pakis who lov kk but imo even if kk was a muslimn Rafi sahab was not,, i wud stil prefer Rafi sahab becos he was and still is millions of miles ahead of any singer!!

btw Rafi sahab was voted singer of the millenium by majority hindus, so again stop talking so much crap!!

  • @diamondrafi votes likefor the film awards handed out to useless ppl every year? rafi is gud i just prefer kk

  • lolz crap comeback pal!!

but i ll agree to disagree!

  • @cinnamonianpalona, Many from Pakistan Love Kishore. There are fanatics everywhere. I love Kishore, am not a muslim, but prefer Rafi. Music is above religion and region.

  • I love this song, so soft, smooth and romantic. My most favourite singers are M. Rafi and Asha Bhosle. My daughter is a teenager and she loves this song so much, at such a young age she knows quality instead of the quantity crap that we have today

  • To all muslims out there i want a honest answer if Rafi Sahab is not a muslim will you be glorifying him.

  • DUH!! yes ofcourse, its nothing to do with religion so stop using tht stupid argument, anyway ud have to be totally tone deaf , not to be able to hear the beauty of Rafi sahabs voice!!

  • Hello my friend i did not say Rafi Sahab is a bad singer im not against any religion im asking if Rafi sahab is Ravi sahab will you be glorifying him yes or no thats it y are u angry. Asalamualaikum bruder....

  • why wouldu ask such a question?

whydoesit hav to do with religion?

isntit enough for ppl to admit tht Rafi sahab was and still is the best , rated by all proffessionals including his peers?

ilike lata, asha ,mahendra kapoor's voices too, but ima muslim so wht ur explanation abt tht?

btw im only angry because so many 'hindus' glorify kk becos of the fact tht he was a hindu, anyone who has anykind of musical tatse knows Rafi sahab was millions of miles ahead!

  • @TheDiamondRafi Firstly music has nothing to do with religion. But if you do want to bring religion in, remember that Rafi's ancestors were all hindus and he has hindu blood in him. He cant change that by conversion. Please remember that. Rafi was not a fanatic nor a racist, he was a great singer, and if you have any respect for him you will not bring his religion in the picture. Its was indian who made him number 1 remember that. If the majortiy hindus rejected him, he would be nobody

  • @TheDiamondRafi also its always the muslims that bring religion into everything, they just cannot accept a person for their talent. Pakistan could never make any of their talented people famous. They all had to come to india and because they were given a chance and accepted by majority hindus, that is why people like Nusrat fateh, rahat etc are today famous. So please stop bring religion into everything as I can argue for hours on this issue.

  • SO RIGHT. Some fanatics call him GOD and insult others, even the creator MDS. Such morons bring trouble, and bring down the very RAFI name they like so much. They call him sahab and disrespect others. BLOCK THESE IDIOTS.

  • @aceji you are right thanks.

  • @anfieldkop88 ,, humm i dont really think so,,, instd dy wuld b jealous n buzy critizin,,, but honestly said of all he wz INDIAN !!!! ri8...

  • If Rafi sahab is not a muslim those pakis will not be glorifying him.

  • fullcredit to gretest sj only

  • lol :) your comment is too funny.

  • dnt be so disrespectful , som ppl are jus too twisted!!

  • disrespectful? no way, i am so passionate about this Rafi Sahabs song that i was moved to use the words "sexy, climax and orgasm" as a mega compliment to the singer, anyway i meant a "musical orgasm". tut.. some people just have sex on their mind!! Lighten up.

  • lolzzzz!!! tht ws actually funny!!

  • Great song ! As usual Emperor Rafi sizzles..Iqbal Qureshi does a fine job. The slight shiver and huskiness in Rafi's voice resembles that of Elvis presley. Asha is cute and acts well.THANKS rajshri

  • what a voice thank u rafi ji

  • Oh my God wat a voice. This is wat we call singing and versitality. Wrds fall short. I live in London and none of English singers can sing like this.

  • Such innocence, and YET so sensual...hats off to Mohd. Rafi, and Joy and Asha who picturised the song in such a beautiful way!!

  • uffffff!!! Rafi sahab! Amazing.

  • Superbly done!! Deliciously sexy performance... I remember falling totally in love with Asha when I first saw the film... I was ten years old.

  • you were exactly same as me then.

now i am 48and i still love watching her movies

  • What a masterpiece...simply legendary

  • the lyrics of this song are really ingeniously crafted--much more poetic than most songs you see in the past 5 years

  • what a sensual song - love it

  • GOD bles indien songs Irealy enjoy them

  • Strasbourg, France

I am still amazed that these idiots on both sides of the border prefer to bicker rather than enjoy some marvellous music. Both Rafi and Kishore and Mukesh were great singers, and they will stay unrivalled. Rafi is my favourite although there are many Kishore numbers that are great too. But that has nothing to do with the religions of these great men.

    Guys, grow up.

  • @suresh1957 - you are absolutely correct. Instead of enjoying the music the jokers indulge in mudslinging. Actually, it is hard to say who is a better singer because each song has its character (e.g., the actors in the song, the mood of the song). Ultimately, it is the magnitude of the enjoyment the song brings to the listener. By the way, my younger brother's name is also Suresh.

  • @RSKALAGNANAM : Thanks for the appreciative comments. I am indeed honoured to have the same name as your younger brother !

    Cheers

    Suresh

    Strasbourg, France

  • @suresh1957

Glad to see that there are smart people,

i hope people wil grow up indeed!

  • @suresh1957 Well said !!! Why cant folk appreciate good talent instead of dwelling on bitter history and trading hatred filled insults on religions/cultures???? Sad times!!!

  • @yasmeenfive Thanks very much for that supportive comment ! As one of the dohas of Kabir go:

"Jyaaathi naa poocho sadhu ki, pooch lijiye gnyaan

Mor karo talwar ki, pada rahan do myaan"

    My quick and dirty translation:

"Ask not about the religion of the saint, ask him about his wisdom

Check the sharpness of the sword, let the scabbard be ignored"

    Suresh

    Strasbourg, France

  • @suresh1957

    Strongly agree with you....

  • this song is great for sex

  • please appreciate Music and just leave religious and political mind outside, Spread Love and not HATE..we are all Humans

  • Given a chance people are ready to go any extent expressing all non-sense. you are asked to give your honest comments on the artist or -musically.and that is all.on the song

  • Rafi & Kishore would have turned in thier graves listening to this stupid banter between you guys . Respect Rafi here he was sublime and revere Kishore coz he brought a smile. This is one song that matches Roop Tera Mastana . Erotic and yet so subtle. Am I a Muslim or am i a Hindu. neither.imma a great music lover. They(Rafi and Kishore) were a fraternity and hugely respected each other. Why cant you guys pluck a leaf from thier book. Quit bitching

  • I do not know why some people are hell bound to make hateful political statements about Pakistan and India. Why can't you just get along. Do you really think you make Mahatma Gandhi's soul happy by being opposite to what he wanted you all to be. Please stop this hatred. It will not solve your problems. There is good and evil in all of us, the one you feed will win inside you.

  • That's exactly what I wanted to convey and you said it right. Why is it whenever there is a good song of Mohd Rafi, he is right away compared to Kishor....They both have their "Shaili" and they can never be compared. The only people who try to compare both of these legends and try to prove Rafi was better are either Pakis or the Muslims...

  • Sorry Don't Agree to your last statement. I am a great Fan of Rafi Saab and a Paki as you put it. Comparisons and venomous attacks on the brilliance of Rafi Saab only ever comes from Indians and in particular Hindus!!

  • @Inatsikap Dont forget it was the majority hindus in India that accepted Rafi and made him what he is. If the hindus rejected him on the basis of him being a muslim, he would have been a nobody. It was the hindus and not muslims that put him on a pedestal and reverred him which he rightfully deserved for his wonderful voice.

  • @rksandhu63 - My Friend I don't recall entering a comment on this video. I simply enjoy the music and do not enter politics.

  • The world of these Pakis doesn't go beyond Dilip Kumar and Mohd Rafi.

  • Tantia T ji...it is so unfortunate to read such comments from a music lover involving geography and religion. RK, Shammi, Dev Anand, Vijyanthimala, Nutan, Kajol, Mannadey, Mukesh, Kishor, Hemant, Lata, Asha, and loads of others were neither Pakistani nor Muslim...they are simply great artists...irreplaceable...See I did not mention Talat Mehmood and all the Khan stars of today just because of ur comments. Art is beyond all these ...

  • ignore them. they aren't worth anyone's attention.

  • There never can be another like Rafi sb. Kishor da was good but he sang simple straight songs with little classical touch...expressions and murqeez and changing voice expression for different artists was only Rafi ji's skill....lets enjoy all those great singers else Hamesh Reshamiya will punish us with his voice

  • sajhab-Love ur wit! yes Indeed Mohd. Rafi was indeed a blessing to us n Himesh Reshamiya a punishment to our ears n senses.

  • Anokheeadha ji..Thanks. Good to hear from a lover of real golden music sharing views...

  • AWSOME..............

  • wha rafi sahab wha gr8

  • music.....yes

    vocalish..yes

    ONLY VOCALIST ........

    Mohamed Rafi.

  • erotic song - sung sensously by the great rafi.

  • O ! What a sensuous song!! Rafi was the master of singing.

  • Oye you out there: Kishore Kumar THE GENIUS sang hundreds of GREAT GEMS fast paced and sad ones. Please take time and listen to them, you will be surprised what you have been missing. Rafi and Kishore are still LEGENDS. Jai Hind

  • The void is still there and will always be there without the MASTER

  • The twisting (murqeez) of voice is TERMENDOUS art and how it shoud be done MASTERLY listen this song of VOICE OF CENTERIES yes i am talking about the BEST BLAY BACK VOICE EVER MOHAMMAD RAFI SAAB credit goes to SHANKER JAIKHISHAN Both of them were master of their SKILLthat was ART OF MUZIC 03332604292

  • gr8 coincidence -- my dad was a big fan of Joy Mukherjee -- my mother is a big fan of Asha Parekh. -- Gr8 Rafi ji -- miss u -- no one can match that magic voice.

  • Well said we all miss his wonderful voice. He has left a legacy and it is timeless. We still and will be able to hear his voice till death do us apart

  • They both made soo romantic pair.Rafi sahib is superb as always, words r not enough to admire him.

  • Excellent!! What a Couple! Love them both! Romantic song. Different variety . Hats off to Sahib

    Thank you for uploading.

  • Splendid !!!

  • when I hear old indian songs and movies, just I go back to my child hood in Asmara, Eritrea. How beautiful life I had.

  • I like all hindi songs because it remember to me my young age.I loved Asha parekh

  • I agree with you. It does remind all of us our younger years.

  • you are right. when I hear Indian songs and indian movies just I go back to my child hood in Eritrea Asmara. How the beautiful life I had.

  • my uncle looks just like Joy Mukherjee :)

may be not an exact replica, but resembles a lot!

I love old movies and especially the songs...

I had never seen Asha Parekh So hot before :)

  • Errr excuse me supanup..Asha is not hot in that song...The word is sensual and she looks lovely

  • OMG, Joy Mukherjee is so handsome (love his shirt!) and Asha is so sensual, what a song with the evergreen voice of Rafi Sahib. What a seductive song! Romance without the Jhatkas and Matkas and revealing outfits

  • ar rehman is a fad. how dare anyone compare him to the likes of sj, lp, sd?

  • Yee geet sunke mujhe need aatha hain

  • Kaha hain atur ali . kaha hain jutar kali.... Ar rahman music dame........Kiya music diya hain S.d.burman.R.d burman.Shankar.jaikishen. Bengali aik doom fatafati

  • Ladies and gentlemen, this is what is known as versatility.

  • This is how a romantic song should sound imho

  • Despite not being perfect, KK was a tremendous singer. Some of his songs have great depth.

But Md was unltimate. It might not be possible by any 2nd human being to attain same standard as Md.

  • If A.R.Rehman is great composer of to-day, then what were Shanker Jaikishan, Naushad, S.D.Burman....

  • aa jaa re aa jara............excellent

  • Excellent Joy Mukerjee & Asha Parekh

  • Mohammad Rafi - a phenomenon

  • i already agreed with u, but i didnt know the exact reason as to why you said that.. but after i heard this song i knew why :)

  • Unbeatable...

  • a haan

  • wow..very beutifull

    tanx

  • This is one of the best romantic songs of any era. Great Composition by Shankar - Jaikishan and great singing by Rafi and superb looking Asha Parekh .. very intoxicating song.

  • Forgot to add ... superb lyrics by Hasrat Jaipuri.

  • Beautiful song and equally beautiful actors and period. Thank you. Lovely treat.

  • What a singing, what a modulation, everything like he was in to this affair... rock Rafi.

  • The immortal Mohd. Rafi. Simply brilliant.
