i have SAI (free trail type... k downloaded TT_TT) would u recommend drawing and all the lines on sai or photo shop elements cause i tried today and im lost on photoshop :P

@CrazyCartoonistG2 Definitely SAI. Lineart on SAI always looks smoother and nicer. When I do lineart with Photoshop elements, it looks all crappy and poorly made (even with a tablet). SAI also has a nice lineart feature that allows you to play around with pressure, color and other stuff without the need of a tablet. In fact, I think it works better with a mouse.

hey, i just got tablet yesterday, which also came with adobe photoshop elements 8. i cant exactly find where can i draw on photoshop, and ive been toying around all afternoon trying to find it and failed. can you help on that?

@VGQueen765 i just got this with my tablet, install photoshop elements 8 and when u open it, cilck the editor tool not the organizer. then once ur there click File>new>blank file and tada there it is

@VGQueen765 same thing happened with me....with the bamboo touch.....i neeed help too.......just try saveing a white background...open it in photoshop, then just paint an stuff or whatever you want. ell me if this helps! ^_^ (and i am not the creator of the video...just trying to help >.<)

@Raki252,  i got this program yesterday but i have a problem. Umm, whenever i select the paintbucket and try to change the color of them they are always grayscale and they are still grayscale every time i fill something. DUDE, please help

I have a question for photoshop element 8. I got it for my birthday and I was wondering if I can draw strait from it. Or do I have to scan something in and then colour it in?

@darkwolf451 You can draw directly in it, of course.There's no need to scan anything, it's just that I just prefer to draw by hand. Also, when I do the lineart digitally, I prefer to use SAI instead of photoshop, but that's just me.

Not all of my black lines can be colored over like that.

Maybe 50% dissapear when i color over them.

What do I do to keep all the black lines there when I color over them?

(I scanned a picture and went over it with the line tool)

@ADigitalOceanBreeze Oh I think I know what your problem is ^^

Well, there are two solutions: You can either put all the color layers in multiply mode or put the lineart layer in multiply mode. Multiply mode is a mode where you can paint like over anything. I prefer puttin only the lineart on multiply and painting in layers below it, because it's much easier. In this case multiply mode makes the white color disappear. I hope my explanation helps you ^^

I can color stuff with only the mouse as well, but the tablet makes things more efficient.

what tool do u use to outline ur drawing?

@8049629 I did it by hand and scanned the pic afterwards xP

I used a Pigma Micron #04 pen from Sakura. I like it 'cuz it gives the outline a quite neat look. ^-^

To do the outline I sometimes use a common black pencil; when I do the outline on photoshop I use the brush tool.

I did scan the pic. For some unknown reason, I have a tablet for around 5 years and I still am uncapable to draw with it -.- (my drawings look much better if I do them by hand)

However, my tablet is still very useful for colouring and for playing osu!, and sometimes for doing sketches.
