  • go listen Pablo Blaqk- Find your way

  • enjoy

  • I love this. I just saw the movie and loved the music in it, especially this one and Lille. Her voice is lovely and lulls you...almost to the ocean! viewpoints3

  • anyone notice that lisa is awesome

  • For you, I leave my light on.

To do its best against the storm.

And you came with the tide in.

And I knew that we could keep each other warm.

You bring crocosmia and fuschias. And I sing your name into the night.

A king? of salt and stones, your compass, It swings from you to me tonight.

We swim without a word between us. Our breath held in.

We reel in love in the ocean, Braille on our skin, On? our skin....

  • Unfortunatley you can't buy it anywhere, there doesn't even seem to be a soundtrack to the film (Ondine)! However it might appear on her next album.

  • @adamaton1 --if you haven't figured it out yet, google lisa hannigan, sign up for her mailer, and you get this song as a free download.

  • @bluewhitelion Hey, thanks for the info, it's so nice to have a studio version. :-) The song still blows me away every time....

  • @adamaton1 no doubt. It snuck up on me last night while finishing the Ondine movie. Mesmerized immediately.

  • @bluewhitelion I know just what you mean. Really sweet movie too... and the song is just perfect for ending it.

  • Help! I want this download, and can't find it! Can you add a link to this?

  • @bluewhitelion thank you so much!

  • @bluewhitelion I just did this! but seeing as this was posted a year ago, they have changed the free download to something else : ( still a good song, but not this one...wish i could get it!

  • @bluewhitelion maybe I'm a year late, but do you know where I can find the song? I already signed up for Lisa Hannigan's newsletters and I didn't get it

  • love this song... where can i buy it?

  • A perfect match for the movie Ondine! The song of the story of Ondine.

  • Found lyrics at this site, also:

  • @bwcivick Thanks for the lyrics. I've been looking everywhere for them!

  • "...I fill a glass of what you've gathered,

Though they wilt against the window pane.

And the morning sees you off with nets to scatter,

You will come in with the tide again.

We'll swim without a word between us.

    Our breath held in.

We reel in love in the ocean,

    Braille on our skin,

    On our skin."

  • Lyrics part 1 (assembled from chinese site and here, fixed to be proper): For you, I leave my light on to do it's best against the storm And you came in like the tide and I knew that we could keep each other warm You bring crocosmia and fuchsias And I, I sing your name into the night A king of salt and stones, your compass It swings from you to me tonight We swim without a word between us Our breath held in We read enough in the rush of Braille on our skin, on our skin
  • Part 2: I fill a glass with what you gathered They wilt against the window pane The morning sees you off with nets to scatter You will come in with the tide again We swim without a word between us Our breath held in We read enough in the rush of Braille on our skin, on our skin We swim without a word between us Our breath held in We read enough in the rush of Braille on our skin, on our skin Oh, oh, oh {repeats, combined with the above 2 lines}
  • Second verse:

I fill a glass with what you've gathered, - - - against the window pane

The morning sees you off with - - - to scatter?

You will come in with the tide again

  • @drunkencoded Thanks for the help with the lyrics!

  • @PixieDecibelle No problem, although it looks like someone felt they were spam. ;)

  • For you I leave my light on to do it's best against the storm

And you came in with the tide and I knew that we could keep each other warm

You bring - - - and I sing your name into the night

A - - - of salt and stones, your compass it swings from you to me tonight

We swim without a word between us, our breath held in

We read - - - in our ocean?

Braille on our skin, on our skin

  • @PixieDecibelle Some of the unknown lyrics I could decipher: "You bring crocosmia and fuschias" "A king of salt and stones" and "The morning sees you off with nets to scatter" :D No idea about the lyric about being in the ocean, lol.
