I have to admit I haven't watched many of the videos of homemade solar heaters. Nothing wrong with hobbyist heating experiments. Often they lead to the realization that the sun has a lot of power and its worth investing in a professionally made system to take full advantage of it at what turns out to be a lower overall cost.
Really well done! You must LYFAO at some of the stuff you see on here. What is the craziest heating system you have seen personally? I saw a guy who was heating his tub with heating elements designed for deep fryers.
Thermo Dynamics was my favorite subject in engineering school. Seriously, you're referring to a boxed and glazed collector manufacturer. That type of collector is more efficient only when air temp is colder relative to water temperature being heated. Boxed and glazed are a lot more expensive per area so they have a tough time competing with us on "payback", the dreaded Achilles heel of the solar industry.
