As a medical doctor I find it hard to believe that a non-medical person can help a diabetic. Diabetes is a tough disease. But my wife bought his book anyhow and lost 30+ lbs, and her doctor reduced her meds.

Because I had to eat what my wife prepared, I somehow lost 20+ pounds.

I'm not much for "self-help" books, but I read his book. Surprisingly, it's well-written! -- like a medical book but in layman's terms.

OK, so maybe I need to have a more open mind ...

@drjamesredd Yes. I'm very proud of you for awakening to what seems obvious to us lay people. Education from trusted sources has a way of inculcating us. I was forced to think "outside the box" due to my situation. I could neither afford doctors or medication for my diabetes. Thanks to an open mind, I read dozens of articles and books. Conclusion: Eat primarily raw, natural foods, get some moderate daily exercise, and VOILA... your body rewards you with good health. No more Metformin for me.

His book is one of the best investments I ever made -- I lost a lotta weight, my husband got off insulin, and my best friend used the book and lost 33 pounds!

I agree with the doc: this man has done it! His book changed my life and prevented my doc from putting me on diabetic meds.

I know a couple engineers -- they're really smart. But, this man makes talking about diabetes kinda fun, especially now that I'm healthier.

I didn't really believe in the God thing but when I was really down a few years ago, I accidentally? came across his book on the Internet. After I read some of the Amazon reviews I got the book.

This is a great diabetes nutritional program if you're serious about getting off the diabetic drugs!

My wife and I are diabetic, but after reading his book "Death to Diabtes", we lowered our BS and hemoglobin a1c back to the normal range, and we both lost more than 27 pounds. Our doctors were shocked, and can't believe that we are still off the meds. Everyone should read this man's book -- even if you're not diabetic.

He's a cross between Chris Rock and Dr Oz, because he uses humor and HIS medical knowledge to provide an entertaining lecture about diabetes. Someone should get him on Oprah!
