Here in American, we don't have the huge celebrations, so we're just planning something like a small fire in the backyard and a night of horror movies. :3

Guy Fawkes and his co-conspirators were trying to set up a theocracy. Had it worked, the plan to blow up the Houses of Parliament and the King would've decapitated the head of government, creating a political vacuum.

The chances of setting up a theocracy would've been highly unlikely. Most likely, it would resulted in a massacre of the country's Catholics, like the St. Bartholomew's Day massacre of the Huguenots in France.

So coming from a family of Catholics, I'm glad he got caught.
