Tibetans fought along with Chinese in WW2, thousands tibetans live in Sichuan and gansu provinces of China, before 1959, thousands fled from tibet into china cos the way they were treated, this is not something I learnt from chineseTV, however from indian, taiwanese, & HK documentory.

Hey...get your facts straight! There were protesters in both Thailand and Indonesia, just that it wasn't as violent. Also in Nepal the police have been told to fire upon the protesters...I mean...who would dare to protest with too much interference? I think it just shows that this is a serious problem if one needs to use force to overcome it. Also it would be a lie to say it does not exist a problem in Tibet...so much uprising would not be created from nothing. Open your eyes!

There is no "true or false" about someone`s opinion. The guy said "I think that blabla" and now China as a Nation has decided they want CNN to apologize for something that CNN as an entity did not say and to fire the guy for having voiced such opinion. I don`t believe the statement you are positing is equivalent, since promoting slavery is a crime and a violation of human rights, calling people names is not. However, if he said the rest: he would have every right to do so about black people, or hispanics, or whites, or whatever he wishes to. And the other party would have all the right to be offended, and no right to censor him. They can answer that they think he is a lunatic xenophobic arsewole, and there it ends.

and by the way kishore mahbubani is probably one of the most objective opinions you can get knowing his background: he was Singapore ambassadr to UN, he served as President of UN security council 2001/2, he was a fellow at the Center for International Affairs at Harvard. and he is currently a dean and professor at the National University of Singapore.

First of all, CNN is biased. I have seen about as many Chinese households watching BBC as in America. Which isn't that much. Thats really sad, becuase BBC is in in english not Chinese. They would have to have done very good in english class in school to understand much.

Chinese Gov freed tibetans from the Slavery (the slave owners like the grandparents of the tibetan protesters in Erope and US, who hate Chines of course, they lost their privilage in Tibet). Wow. I'm shocked at some of these posts here. Do Chinese really have such a negative attitude towards people from western countries? and think everything is a conspiracy?
I'm from Norway, and I'm pretty sure most of us (there are always some bad apples etc.) have nothing against Chinese. in fact I love Chinese food and manners.
But just as we don't like US being in Iraq. We don't like China in Tibet.
How does that make us bad people that deserves to be hated?
