Um, he wasn't sweeping? the commentator was just saying that he can't sweep, he was jerking his brush in mid air, because he was so agitated, i've seen lots of players do just that.

Yeah,if anyone has seen the video of when Ben Hebert lifts his broom straight up,Richard Hart has a huge un-necessary explosion over it.
