@TDaViEzZ1994 Incorrect. 1) You'd never have an Irish ref for a 6N game involving Ireland, so your whole point is moot anyway. 2) In this period of time, spear tackles were not punished with cards. They very rarely even attracted a penalty. As you can tell from the commentary and the players' reactions, at that time they were considered good, fair tackles.

Back then Wilkinson was by far the best 10 on the planet. I dont think I've ever seen a fly half who was such a kicking, tackling and passing machine. Such a massive shame injuries got the better of him and damaged his reputation
