I had the volume all the way up with earphones on from listening to the last Einaudi song, then this song started with the clapping. I am now officially deaf. Can't hear a thing.
Sweet mercy what is the song at the very end he begins to play?! oh and that is an awesome song, and for once a nice live recording without excessive screaming
@deathrownolaw Just keep one thing in mind when playing Einaudi's pieces...
You're not playing a piano composition, you are playing a poem with rhythm, texture and you have to express every last phrase to make it sound as 'fluid' as possible...
This song makes me burst into tears whenever i hear it :( My ex took me to see him and this was one of my favourites. It brings back so many feelings its such an amazing thought provoking piece. He's utterly brilliant.
@markandrach Excuse me, no need for the inappropriate language! I merely stated that I think other pianist have, in my view. A better interpretation and own feeling in the song. I am aware he wrote it, I play it myself. Einaudi will play it how he wants to play it. Likewise with other pianist, who in my opinion, SOME play it better.
I saw him back in November. This is my favourite Einaudi piece and we'd come to the end of the performance and he hadn't played it. I was, as you can imagine, pretty disappointed. Then, the lights go out again, he walks back on stage, sits back at the piano and plays and extended version of this. My night was complete.
I was at one of his concerts last year and he was playing this song near the end or maybe even as the last song, I don't remember. I do remember however how everyone in the room sighed after three notes, because somehow this was the one song everybody there knew and people started whispering to their neighbors how they love this one and then everybody was quiet and just enjoyed the music. In all its simpleness it's beautiful.
@JoungYseze yeah, ur right, the original piece IS slower, listen to this piece played by manuel maresia, he plays it AMAZINGLY! Its more clear too, you gotta listen to him :) but serioussly, LUDOVICO EINAUDI IS A GENIUS to have composed such a beautiful piece :')
@JoungYseze that's right. But it isn't that worse is it? i've seen a cover of Le Onde which was way to fast. That really wasn't nice. And he wrote the song, so it's hard to blame him
@h3arty I'm going as well! I'm so excited to go and this is a song my girlfriend and I share. I really, really hope he will play this one. I was considering sending him an e-mail. =P
Have a great time! Which venue will you be going to? I have heard from a few people and they have said I Giorni had been played when they went, so it looks hopeful :)
@ahmd84 royal albert hall last night he played this dont worry,
and he incorporates the nightbook chords into some of his other pieces and it all sounds beautiful the whole things is just a gorgeous experience, hell make you cry if you have the slightest bit of emotion
especially this one, he had a 8 piece strings orchestra with him last night :)
I'm learning this, but I'm not a very experienced piano player, I really want to play it in my school concert, (it'll be my last one), so has anyone got any advice on how to control nerves & how to learn music quickly?
We haven't had the concert yet. It's next Wednesday and Thursday :S I havent had time to learn a solo... Although I learnt Bellas Lullaby by Carter Burwell (:
I've been busy with other music, like learning all my Saxophone peices... ): I'm a bit upset really.
I played this for my recital. Every time I play it it leaves me breathless. God has gifted this man with music so beautiful it is indescribable

He's playing like there'll be no tomorrow.
He's playing like there's no one else but him and the piano.
He's playing like the notes run through his blood and escape from his breath.
He's playing like he's translating the language of the almighty God on the piano.
He's playing like an effusive child who's once allowed to pour out emotions.
He's playing like a living God.
He's Ludovico Einaudi.

learn to read notes, and just practice a lot!!
with that i learnt a couple piano songs to, and this one is not that hard.
if you practice a lot, you will also control your nerves, cause your certain it will succeed then;)
