  • Power lifting remains garbage!!! Super strong legs wont make you jump higher. I never worked on my legs in high school and ended up with a 48 inch vertical using plyo.

  • @kamronpruitt well, power lifting AND plyos combined would make you jump even higher (if you got that much indeed!) and i tell you this, i spent two years working my ass of with plyo and had mediocre resulrts! im training hard with weights now and i already have improved 9 inches.... i do plyo though, for reactive muscle memory and getting my body used to exploding with it's own weight! and when i started it was from 13 inches vert (puberty though helped a lot!!) props to power lifting!!!

  • @alejandrothefader It's genetics. Plyometric jumpers can fly taking off from a running start and strength jumpers take off from stand still or 1-2 steps. Buy the Vertical Jump Bible by Kelly Bagget. It has EVERYTHING you need to know :)

  • @alejandrothefader Yes, it is the BEST jump program available. Just torrent it ;) If you don't know what a torrent is, google "Utorrent", download it, and then google "Vertical Jump Bible Torrent" and download it using utorrent as the program to open it up.

  • @KENMONEYBALLER 50 inches you say. where are you putting those numbers. 50% what? 75% what? 50 inches takes literally tons of strength(greater than about 2.5 times own weight squat). It varies on the ratio i gave. Lending the term "genetics" is ridiculous. Just to see someone jumps that high then all sudden you hear the term "genetics" cause it's overrated. Gain muscle initially, speed, power as you say. I don't doubt these are attainable through whole loads of environmental series (training)

  • @5htpcure even if you get to squat 2and 1/2 your b-weight, which is a hell of work, even if you manage to be explosive, and train hard on plyos if you don't have genetically a good ammount of fast twich type b muscle fibres, im positive that at max best you get stuck to 40-45 at beast (i hope im wrong)

    does it sound like geting stuck tho? hell NO! i want to get there!! but 50+ inches, you need to be gifted on your body constitution as you would need to be if you wanna be the fastest runner

  • So, jumpsoles are just funny-looking shoes. Depth drops and 1 leg deadlifts rule. Ofc with normal training/running/jumping at the court and playing.

  • all jump soles do is isolate all your weight onto your calves instead of your heals, which is actually very dangerous. and not helpful at all. dont buy jumpsoles. if you want to increase your vertical leap google plyometrics and squat training and deadlifts along with some full cleans and snatch, you will see results, shit that actually works

  • @dirkofyork I agree. I had been training all summer. Mostly on my thighs. And Now I'm able to dunk of a 9ft court. Last year I couldn't even touch rim. Keep training those legs, you will see some result.

    Again, plyo don't work unless you already have your power output up. Power lifting remains king!

  • Yo i really hate everyone advertising the jumpsoles. i've never used them, but every single person you see in all these dunk videos is a natural jumper and only recently started using them. it probably only add 2 inches to a natural jumpers vertical so they could do all these tricks already

  • Dude someone whos 5'2" is not gonna have a 6'3" reach more like a 6'6" or 6'7". So lets say he has puny arms and only has a 6'3" reach. So that means he has to jump 45 inches to touch rim. To dunk he would need to get 8 inches above the rim so that means he would be 53" inches off the ground. However theres no possible way his arms are so puny so minus 4 inches off that and u come up with 49 inches. Not 58 inches like you were saying big difference.

  • I have Jumpsoles and I was doing intensive training in them about an hour and a half 3 days a week and after a month my knees started hurting so I stopped using them.But they will increase your vert.

  • Look people stop making up stuff. I'm 6'2" that is 74 inches with a little longer than avarage arms. I can reach the bottom of the nets which is at 8 feet. my vertical was 32 inches so i could only get my hand over the rim. no outstanding dunks, but I went up 4 inches to 36 and the dunks got 100% better, now i'm 4 inches passed my wrist. So at 6'2" with a 36 inch vertical you can do some nice dunks but not like dude. BTW 30 inches palming the ball would not give you ah dunk at 6'2".

  • anyone with a brain knows jumpsoles or any other program wouldn't be the soul reason why he can jump that high. But I would gladly smack you across the face if you were to go as far as to say that jumpsoles did not contribute in any way. I've used jumpsoles for 8 weeks now and have gained 12 inches to my vertical.

  • jumpsoles are badass man, i mean they aren't the reason I jump so high, but they help! These jumpusa videos are like anything else...Tiger woods doesn't play sickest golf cause his nike golf clubs...but they definitely are nasty clubs...

  • it does help. i always had around 34 inch vert or so, and once i tore my ankle alignments. after rehabs and all that, my ankle was still really weak and i could barely touch rim or dunk at 6'4-6'5, so thats like 20inch vert. Then i used jsoles almost everyday for 3 weeks (during college bball preseason), and i went up to 35 or even more. I mean, even without palming the ball, i just could take off of 2 ft from dotted line and bang it hard. i almost dunked on 3 people once.

But if it's just one option for increasing vert, you guys should recommend others that are far superior like theVJB or the Project. Those are the real deal. Jumpsoles really work a simple aspect of jumping, not many...

  • These dunks were done specifically after training sessions with jumpsoles.. after recovering frm knee injury I knew I needed to workout and train specific muscles to get back as quickly as possible to dunking again, this is just one way I did it! this is not the best of kenny Dobbs mixx, its to promote jumpsoles! I just take exception to fly101 classifying themselves as a non-profit organisation when they're actively marketing a product (as someone else commented).   • Money making means that you get a profit. The dunkers don't walk home with cash from jumpsoles. He would not receive incentive, but the NBA most definitely would. They promoted the NBA through someone doing work with kids using religion and basketball. How is that different from promoting jumpsoles?

  • I know what money-making means. Don't focus on individual dunkers benefiting financially from jumpsoles, I'm talking about the organisation.

    But seeing as you brought it up...no it's really not the same - the nba are promoting themselves of course for their own benefit but not for financial reasons in the example you gave - the nba want to keep up an image, it's not to make money. Flying101 promote jumpsoles because they WILL benefit financially so I'd say they really aren't the same at all.

  • Tell the truth. Only way to get healed in injury s rest. Then you didn't use such rip off. Without squatting very heavy weight for months, it shouldn't affect the strength level you've yearly gained so injury is no big deal. - to one who said it's insane

  • i've played with guys 6'1-6'3 @ bellarmine university with standing verts of only 30 inches and they could get nasty with it. ur just a lying scrub. if u can stand still & get 30 in str8 up, on the move ur momentum will get close to 40 in tops. 40 in on the move with ur reach will get ur forearm over the rim.
