@thucster5 They may look stiff to you because you are used to seeing styles of today which is more complex and intricate compared to the past. But this is FOUNDATION you are seeing the lead the way to the styles of today.
I have no idea have no idea who you are talking about, or which sid you think is wack. But everyone is entitled to their own narrow. Minded opinion. Can you do it?!
@zokon53 That's the result of media influence. It's called imprinting. You'd most likely would have done the same had you been of that generation in that era's early exposure to NYC street culture. Knowledge yourself before you speak or express ignorant thoughts.
@Khultan WTF* you need to mutha fuckn chill, who the fuck was talkn to you anyway, that question was rhetorical, why don't you just go on with yo E-Boy life an stop tryin to be king of the science... damn
@zokon53 It doesn't take much to catch you off, does it? Rhetorical, bombastic, etc. it doesn't matter,it's going to be responded to one way or another so I opted for as is. So, an idea expressed you find objectionable you feel threatened by you become infantile , hunh? Thanks for representing the nature of your thoughts even on a virutal social forum.
@Khultan Objectionable, you tried to express that i was ignorant and continue to harass me with your poorly used cliches and completely misused expressions* I seen your other replies to people on this page your a frustrated loser wannabe hater trying to recuperate power through YOUR use of a "virtual social forum" to enlarge your deflated and obviously minuscule sense of self* I recognize jerks i just happened to read it on the hottest day of the year so yea FUCK YOU GO AWAY I didn't start this*
@Khultan and another thing! "Knowledge yourself before you speak or express ignorant thoughts."???? mutha fuka you the one that sounds ignorant* go away damn Troll, I don't wanna hear your hater ass bullshit.... fuck you I'll serve you!!! go away
The club were this battle took place was called mc square. We were scheduled to battle galaxy breakers, but seven other crews showed up looking to battle us. It felt good to be from d.c. And in demand.
yeh you doods got oldschool flavour should hook up for break jam come represent busk bboy allstars crew you would still have knowledge check out the gravity breakdance ropes
On behalf of All Star Rockers as their former leader we thank you for your comment. It's a good thing to see people appreciating trueschool material from us as well as Galaxy Crew.
I lost contact with everyone in my crew that was on this video. Other members joined later on and had moved on. The crew I'm affliated with now is Labratz Crew that live in Annandale, Va. They're really good but what I like about them most is even though they're skills is mad sick they don't let it go to their heads and are down to earth. Sometimes we colaborate and do shows together from time to time. But for the most part I mainly freestyle and work with other poppers to keep the art going.
Hey mekanix1968 thank you from another Galaxy Breaker! My name is Turk and I am the one in the video at 1:15 and 2:42 wearing the light grey spandex with the red & blue stripe and black t-shirt. Roger (Kid Turn it Out) called me today (I hadn't spoken to him in years) and told me the video was on Youtube. I couldn't believe it. Brings back a lot of memories. Thanks again!
I'm glad I posted this video for it brought your crew back together in the communication dept. And I felt it was necessary to present a piece of Trueschool Hip-Hop history that was untelevised.I'm glad it brought you guys good memories.
I thought I replied to your Question awhile back, but I don't see my response. So to answer your question the video was excellent. The dancers got straight to the point without all the super long and drawn out ass uprocks alot of bboys do today.
This is only a tiny piece of the whole battle.Truthfully, the only thing they had over Allstar Rockers was then flares. Other than that we were pretty evenly matched except they got smashed in popping.
old skool was pure street no studio time or gymnastics. great post
