i lived in uae for 4 years, and as an indian i don,t see much of botheration if u just follow the rule of land, i moved to canada then muscat but dubai is close to my heart , wrong things and suppresion are always there in each and every corner , but your plain speaking know bring lot of wrath to you , but one day it will usher in the freedom of press and speech in uae.

I wonder why they threw you out from the govt, end of the day i found you more pragmatic then more stupid arabs.

btw, is it "safe" for men to have long hair in Dubai?? I remember hearing that it is/was taboo in Saudi Arabia, but I imagine Dubai is much more liberal / free...
