It's funny how I was cheering for the Leafs when I watched this live and cursing Halak but now that the Habs can upset the Pens and potentially go to the finals, I can't cheer for them loud enough.

The goals scored on Halak in this game doesn't seem very tough shots but I also don't think he's playing bad either. They look like goals that were unstoppable to his style. Makes me wonder what voodoo magic Leafs have against good teams and goalies that give them an edge.

gusto isnt that bad, he hasnt lost since the dealine, leafs as a team have played better since the trades...with a better team in front of him he can make wins happen, hes still far from great, but hes in his first year and you have to give him credit for it. If he play like crap next year, the year after, you can throw him into the vesa pool, but for now it's too early to say he's not good enough.

Omg seriously!? the Vesa pool?. ppl forget the first year he was on the leafs he stole games for the leafs and was the only reason why the leafs were in a playoff race. he had groin and hip problems in the latter part of his stay which stallked his game tremendously.

for those who say Gustavsson is shit, think about other goalies, like Rask or Fleury or Miller, the first few years they sucked, but in a short time they were able to better themselves. Gustavsson in his first year is showing a lot of promise, and needs time to get confident and get use to the nhl style of play

Watch him play, watch the saves he has made that should eaasily be enough to tell he has tremendous potential and like this guy here said he is still getting use the NA style of Hockey. He's trying to put on some weight and get him healthier and more ready for next year the guy is so skinny. Also I have seen him play before and he has probably the sharpest glove hand of a rookie goaltender since Marc- Andre Fleury.

Technically we still have a play off hope. It's slim but it's there. Just look at the amount of points and our schedule. We play alot of the lower teams in the next 10 games. Teams that are only like 2-8 points ahead of us. If we win those few games this could become interesting

look at schenn on the second goal, he is just standing there doing nothing when he sound have had gionta in front, instead he is looking at him as he tips it in the net.

schenn should NOT be in the penalty kill. however, i realize the leafs are not playing for anything except pride and audtions for next year, and this is good experience for the young guys.

i just wish people would admit that schenn has not lived upto the hype yet, they acted like he was matt duchene

The kid knows his place, he isn't a goal scorer. He is a defensive defense and that is what he speacializes in. He is a great player with a good head for the game. What this is his only second season also. Relax.

First off hes on the penalty kill, he cant run around he has to play positionally and plus, he didnt seem to do too bad the other 5 mtl power plays. for a guy not living to the hype, hes a plus 3 on the worst defensive team in the league, he must be doing pretty well for himself.
