Great video. CoX has its flaws, but the combat is incredibly fast-paced and addictive, the best group combat in any MMO imho, and it's really easy to form PUGs. Great for the casual gamer, and the PvP is also very good for the hardcore gamer because of its speed, and pretty well balanced group v group (though not 1 v 1).

One thing I love about this game vs WoW. Is in wow every one is after pretty much the same armor. So you see a lot of people that look like except maybe skin tone and hair. In this game it's is almost impossible to find some one look exactly you. The character customization is freaking amazing. I absolutly would reccommend this over WoW. Even though I play both :P

to answer your question, no, everyone does not have the fly ability, but everyone can have the fly ability.. ever archetype has the option to choose whatever travel powers they wish, they can even take all of them if they wish (but to be honest, thats wasting your limited power choices)

its not complicated, at all just make sure after the character creator, you choose tutorials, they will explain everything, besides that, everyone in coh/cov are pretty friendly and im sure they will help you out.

but to new players i strongely suggest this game, as the game play really is inovative and the communitywhen i played was ubeatable. this is a top notch game, pity they realeased it before making permanent decisions on the original release powers, i feel thats the main downfall and for me, it was a critical hit against the game

The Controller's pets are just a little high-lvl gimmick to make soloing easier and if you feel worthless without them you don't know anything about this AT. Play a Mastermind if you want to have pets + damage.

gonna have to agree with cyroboy on all these statements. The level cap is 50...it doesn't need to change. The character changes were GLOBAL nerfs that were needed to make the game harder. If you can't play a controller without pets...then only play a ice, fire, ill, or stone controller then...Also just play a Mastermind.
