Theo sang lead on two Temptations CLASSICS from the 90s.."STAY," and "THIS IS MY PROMISE." He never got the props he deserved for those songs because he'd ben kicked out of the Temps by the time they became hits. (He's not even in the video for "Stay." His inferior replacement, Barrington Henderson, lip syncs his vocals in that video, which you can find here.) Theo Peoples is no mere backup singer!

Did he get fired or did he leave, Anyway, there were 3 leads on Stay, Terry Weeks and Ron Tyson shared the lead with Theo,but anyway Theo did do a great job

He also sings on the entire "For Lovers Only" Album by the Temptations from 1995. He is one sick singer. The Man is unstoppable.

are you serious? I always thought Barrington Henderson was the lead for that song. Now that I hear Theo's voice, it sounds the same. Sounds like a Destiny's Child thing. The original singers are gone, but the video shows different people.

@Amoy1876 From what I'm reading online, Theo quit to take on the Lead with The 4 Tops after Levi became ill. He also wanted to perform some things solo.

Theo is an awesome singer, he has sung lead with the top 2 motown groups of all time. Hardly a 'filler!' I met him & his lovely wife and they both happen to be very nice people, he is totally unconceited about his success.

Theo is no more than a filler singer, he was a replacement singer for one of the temptations.now He's trying to replace Levi! Can't be done,he needs to be just what he is a great background singer! and keep the harmony tight!!

No one can ever sound 'just' like someone else. It's better than not having a 'Four Tops' anymore at all. Let's take what there is and enjoy it the best we can. Levi was one of a kind...

I have the DVD of the concert. But this song "Main Street People" was also included on the LP of the same name. It was released on the ABC/Dunhill label. It was the B-side to "Sweet Understanding Love". MuzicMan1967 posted that on YouTube, but sadly it was taken down and closed its account. I missed them. :(

Too bad the quality is so bad. This is one of the last performances by Levi...So sad to see him so ill. What a great voice.

This performance is available on DVD. It's called "Bernadette," you can find it on Amazon, and it has a picture of the original group on the front. It's wonderful.
