  • Re- was the rear loco powering.....Answer NO....This was the Felixstowe to Tilbury working filmed during the time when it was booked top and tail due to diversions. A clue that the rear loco is shut down is the tail lamp stuck on the back.

  • @Yaktis6732 Thanks for that info.

  • Was the rear loco providing power, or being towed dead? I couldn't tell with the background noise.

  • @back2frinky I think it was providing power & take the strain off the couplings.

  • lol I was counting the containers and got to 40 when you skipped a few seconds

I counted once a 60 container Train near Tilbury

  • You can carry on counting as I did not leave out any containers, I only edited it for time when the train stopped.

  • where is this train going and coming from?

  • My guess is it came from a port like Harwich or Felixstowe & will go round the North London Line to Willesden Junction depot for distribution?

  • oh ok so how do they get these containers on and off the train?

  • I would imagine they use the those 4 legged cranes on rail wheels similar to the ones on the C4 intro's or as shown in "The Wire" when they showed the docks.

  • brill vid mate

  • Thank you, I have a more recent & similar one I am thinking of uploading soon.

    It features 2 freight trains.

  • The above mentioned video also features 90001.
