Also, the chattering and vocalizations are normal but apparently that rapid tac-tac-tac of his teeth is a sign that's he's dangerously close to shock. That's harsh. If you do end up relocating one, cover the cage with a towel so it doesn't think a towering human is 'coming in for the kill' causing it to go into a batshit fight-or-flight (and fleeing's not exactly an option in a cage) mode.

@ferociousgumby the least we can do is report this video for animal cruelty but a guy like this might purposely kill one and upload the video to spite us... I can see it happening. :(  squirrels are social animals which means they have complex emotions "why we feel love, compassion etc" all social animals develop much of the same emotions we live by and squirrels are no different. my squirrel reacts to this video and becomes very upset and afraid too, running to me for protection

I have a pet squirrel and know these animals very well, he is so incredibly stressed here and under terrible duress, you guys really should have covered the cage with a black clothe and left it alone until rdy for release. I guess you may of done this for the sake of science or education but hopefully not entertainment.
