  • ya, everyone talks bout Rush or Triumph as the best Canadian rock band, but April Wine did it first and imho did it better. ALL of it. They ran the gamut from ballads to blues n jazz to hard rock, progressive rock n metal and they did it all so well! I still dunno where I got this video n frankly dont even remember posting it but Im glad April Wine has let me keep it up (so far). And Im glad its so popular, its really an awesome song :D

  • Living the good life in Northern Ontario. ROCK ON, MOTHER-FUCKERS!!!!

  • this song is eargasmic

  • April Wine kicked too much ass. Canadian bands bring such a cool perspective to rock and roll. Dig it....

  • i'm an american, but i have to say, most great bands haven't orignated from here (besides nirvana and STP and incubus and whatnot) and most people don't give canadian bands enough credit. this song fucking rocks.

  • man back in the day it was so hard for canadian rock bands to get any type of good record deal so it took fucking genius' to come out of canada e.g. Rush, April Wine, Max Webster among others haha fucking insane rock n roll. Even though ive grown to other music outlets i can always hang my hat on classic rock at the end of the day best music bar none....i am a child of the computer age and fake music but still I LIKE TO ROCK!!

  • Yes, Rush recorded Moving Pictures in this very same studio.

  • Didnt i see this studio in the Rush Limelight vid.

  • @blueridger28 yeah man i thought the same man it's a famous studio in quebec up in the mountins, many famouse bands recorded atleast one album there man like the police and a shit load of other great musicians

  • @XxMusclecarsxX Are you on glue?Seriously Canadian band's fuck'n Rock.."I seen April Wine on Canada Day 2011"and to say not like today? Were the fuck you been for the past 30 year's?In a hole?Where in the world do you live,on a island somewhere?I'm not even gonna waste my time with you.EDUCATE!

  • @milkboner666 LOL UJELLY? I said this was back in the days when canada was making good music, nowadays it just sucks. idk maybe u like nickelback....btw im canadian

  • @XxMusclecarsxX I'm not only laughing at you,I'm surprised your Canadian just as I'm surprised there's not over 500,000 view's on this band's video and their riff..You sound like my son who's also a anti-Nickelback kid.So with that being said,Read what I said:Educate yourself about our new band's and you'll see there's more Canadian talent out there these day's.You were just Daddy's little squirt when this came out so you need to start from the letter A as you did,now go on to the letter B.

  • @milkboner666 why are you so offended?? IN MY OPINION nowadays music sucks. on radio all whats from Canada is nickelback and justion bieber.

  • @XxMusclecarsxX I get offended when someone put's down Canadian's and Our musician's we have and had.You hear these band's on the radio and you don't hear the any other music by other Canadian band's.I listen to new band's from Canada every day and and the older band's that are still making great album's in 2011.I agree Nickelback,Justin Beaver.lol, ect are not very talented but you'll hear some new shit if you listen to more band's,U-tube is full of them..didn't mean to come on hard man..

  • @milkboner666 I agree theres some good modern canadian bands, like the sheepdogs I really appreciate them but I dont hear them often on radio

  • @XxMusclecarsxX So you do hear some other band's but not on the radio.I don't usually don't get pissed but when it come's to Canada I'll defend everything about this country, and that include's our band's.The Sheepdog's are just 1 band of many that they don't get airplay... just like Metallica back in the early 80's.I know their from San Francisco but you know what I mean,no airplay,no one hear's great music.Peace man.

  • One of those Great Bands That some how fell through a hole in my memory

  • I remember that T shirt ! it's the original Loop Shirt from the late 70s !

  • Canada fucking rules!!

  • Looks Like the same studio, Le Studio? as the Rush video "Tom Sawyer"

  • Good Video!

  • This is just great! Canada puts out the ROCK! Rush! Aldo Nova! Triumph to name a few..

There is a band you probably never heard of... Minglewood..... When i was a young teenager musician/rush fan I went on vacation to Prince Edward Island, to visit relatives with my family. Being a rush head I thought it was great to visit their country and experience all things Canadian/Rush.. Well my cousin made me listen to and buy a Minglewood Album they were the Lynyrd Skynyrd of Nova Scotia

  • I saw them at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis, TN back in the eighties. They were FANTASTIC! During this song, everyone left the stage while the drummer played a major ass-kicking solo. One at a time they came on stage and joined in. I remember it like it was yesterday. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

  • Best lp they ever wrote! all the rest are close seconds tho! 8>)

  • Never heard of April Wine before in my life

  • Anybody else notice the riff from the end is The Beatles "Day Tripper"?

  • @LazelDazel One guitar is playing Day Tripper and the other is playing The Stones Satisfaction.

  • I love the Milestones!Kick ass set up!Ive loved these tunes ever since they came out!Excellent band!

  • I like to rock as well.

  • 12 people dont know what hard rock is.

  • I think this video was made at André Perry's studio in Morin Heights,Québec in the beautiful Laurentians....a very long time ago!!!

  • See here in Canada every single was probably a top 10 hit. And they had, I'm guessing at least 30 - and we thought they were just as popular in America. And I'm just starting to realize maybe they had 3 hits in America at best. That blows my mind. That's like someone hearing in America that Bruce Springsteen or the Eagles anyone with a lot hits were not popular anywheres else. But even worse. Because it's perceived if you didn't make it America you didn't make it. And it's kind of true.

  • @heyman29323 Let me quote (Keith Moon?) from "The Isle Of Wight Festival" "There are people in countries that don't even know who Eric Clapton is, and they still fuck".

Not exactly what you were getting at, but still.. there are places where people don't know who Clapton is and that blows my fucking mind!

  • Im seeing these guys in 2 weeks! Im So Stoked!

i seen jonas brothers, beiber on talk shows, the females go so nutso n screamin about.

  • @ericou812 Quite frankly, all the Jonas Brothers of the 80's are all long gone and forgotten, just like the actual Jonas Brothers will be by 2015 at the latest.

  • i didnt care much for april wine kind of a sissy band, this song is ok

  • @ericou812 Well..I don't know if you lived during the early 80s but this band jammed...sign of the gypsy queen, this song...and just between you and me...well...we liked em..

  • @davehutchinson67 im 46,i remember there songs, cool guitar solo in SOTGQ,i kinda grew away from them got into metal.but i think there good bands,

  • @ericou812 I agree....April Wine was the calling card for girls back then...so we just kinda went with it. Throw 'em a bone. But April Wine really had nothing there and even worse - nothing up their sleeve. Mediocre hard rock at best.

  • Classic

  • Although the lead singer did 90% lead on this song..i did notice the other guitarist doing a lead part

  • 1.Rush

    2.April Wine

  • i know the gutarist, brian, hes from quebec, cool guy

  • Oh this certainly takes me back to glorious garage band days! Totally great band!!!

  • Oh this certainly takes me back to glorious garage band days! Totally great band!!!

  • These guys are so underrated. Are mainstream acts like AC/DC, KISS, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen even aware of April Wine? if so they definitely dont get the credit they dissever Jerry Mercer is never even in the conversation for greatest drummer and he right behind Niel Peart in my opinion. Had a ton of hits, if they were from Detroit or LA they would be right up there with the Beatles. What a shame the band had it just could not break out to big markets in US.

  • @TheHappynot You posted this on the video for Roller as well, do you really feel the need to make that lil speech of yours there?

  • @clockworkmike83 I just want to see if people agree

  • @51jake51 "Play some I Like To Rock" "That's April Wine" "Fine then, play that fucking Diane Sawyer song then!" ...Ricky rules lol

  • @gmanhell94 RRRR?

  • Even the drummer with no hair has lots of rockin facial hair.

  • I'm a geologist and I like to rock.............

  • @MikeInVentura I'm a crack head and I like to Rock

  • @MikeInVentura Geologist=Rock Doctor....

  • its funny that, in a band with 3 guitar players, the lead signer is also the lead guitarist lol I LIKE TO ROCK!!

  • Love the loop shirt!

  • HIGH ON ROCK AND ROLL....THE GOOD OLD DAYS!

  • this song just f---in rocks!!!

  • Myles is one of the most under rated guitarists in rock. That guy rips!
