Man, that's an epic Kanstul. I personally didn't like them much, but maybe sometime in the future I'll pick up one and fall in love. :p I hear a lot of good things about those horns, then again they could be perfect for some people and a nightmare for others.
You should see if you can get your hands on a shilke 60, if thats to big get a 59 or even a 58 cause shilke is definately the way to go with dark and rich tones. I use a shilke 60 but that requires a lot of air. Check them out man
Hi I'm Massimo Pirone and I play a special mouthpiece desinged by me and veri close to Minick L also see my video with two bass trombones me and Bill Reichenbach
lol it shows that he just stopped by mid end ish lol. but I like his sound, the overtones in his lower register aren't dead sounding and it's not harsh.

so who did the arrangement ?
and, more importantly, is it available?
I'd love to re-arrange it for a (uk) brass band - with me playing the solo of course :-)

I played this with our big band, such a fun tune to play. Nicely done.

Nice job...but I"m hoping he's playing on an unfamiliar horn...a lot of his second-position notes, especially B naturals, are VERY sharp.

@BassBonerLOL Hope you're not talking to the guy in the video!
Also, the 60 is pretty much a paperweight, i hope you've realized.

@Burgerbob22 how is it a paperweight? not being snide here. . . I really am serious I love mine

@musicnerd1023
Try some smaller mouthpeices, or more modern ones in the 60 range. The 60 is just not a great design.
