I agree. My childhood was very hard too. I grew up hearing stories if I went into fostercare it would be a lot worse. The people wouldn't love me and I would be subjected to all kinds of abuse even sexual. So I hid what was going on to avoid that. If a gay couple two men or two women offered me a way out i would have jumped for it as well. This why I get mad at homophobes with theses crazy claims. well let me say for the record, a mother and a father isn't what its always cracked up to be!
I really respect the fact that you know you, that you don't know everything about being LGBT, because lets face it no one does, I am Bisexual and I don't know everything about LGBT people. I know that there are some states that don't agree with LGBT adoption, but I am like you, if there is a chance at living a life with people that love them why would you let these children "age out "of the system never having found a home base, insanity, then they are kicked out and told go find your own way.
ive never met a true christian who thinks the way you do. or a conservative for that matter. but on my behave you make me think maybe there is hope. im a lesbain and was raised with a mom and dad, never was a tom boy, it just happened. and id love to give a child a home one day.
I liked hearing about your thoughts. It is very difficult to make people understand the importance of adoption. I think that when we destigmatize major issues such as marriage and adoption, (by removing the preface - gay).
I was born gay. I don't believe that god makes mistakes. Nobody needed to hurt me to make me this way. I think that once people realize that gays and lesbians are just people then the fear will diminish. Hopefully in a decade or so, this will be a non-issue.

The south is the worst place for a gay person to be. They've proven the point over and over again.
