Guess anyone can place. There is only 4 or 5 entry's in them contests. The PPHA needs to fill all there governing positions before they have events, half the state has no activities.

He may have placed in contests but if i am not mistaken he has never called and killed more than 1 coyote in PA.it does sound decent though.

Well friends, that sound was recorded by a news reporter with a small camera that he put on video mode. So the sound did give off a little different pitch. I have held still hold either first second, third or fourth place in the calling contests I have entered since then. @MonkeyKnifeFight123 sorry, that's a coyote howler. those are yips and barks. fairly high pitched. maybe a younger dog. if you choke back on the reed a bit, you'll get a deeper call. Rabbit distress is a much different sound, like a child scream actually. Kinda eerie when you hear it for real in the woods at night.

@MonkeyKnifeFight123 uhhhh this is a howler...hunters use both distress calls and howls to call in coyote...ur rite that a coyote is a predator and distress calls r effective but they are also vocal communicators and very territorial animlas....look up a rabbit distress they sound totally different...dont be so quick to call everyone a moron

Thats not the vocalization you want to make for calling them in. That was a warning howl. I had a coyote do that to me when he spoted me. Did it back, but he never came. Never even saw him. For about half hour!!!!!
