@dutchie444 I really can't remember this happening, and I have a very good memory, was it really as bad as it looked. It's just I can't remember preparing for that.
The lightening had struck our roof and blasted a hole in it and when I went in the attic to check there was just a wall of water running in through it!
I walked into woolies, came out five minutes later and the drains were fountains and the whole place was flooded. Going home we had to drive on the hill along the front because the water was deep as hell on the road. People were also swimming through the underground carpark.
i was 5 and lived at west view :D
