I personally find it extremely dangerous to do in a CASH game and in a limped 5handed pot. Even if he connects he doesn't know where he is. Even though if he connects 90% of the time he'll be good it's still an unnecessary risk

I didn't say it was bad I said it was questionable. It depends on your table image, position, and other players, but you can either play middle pairs like that passively or aggressively. Although I myself am a passive player because I get scared easily, I'm sure many others, including pros, would prefer to raise in that spot.

@CardSharkVeteran durrr might have been "weak" preflop but a 10, 52, 34 or 2 diamonds is all he needs. It's not just about the bet on the turn. He would have to call a bigger bet on the river too. It's better to throw your hand away on the turn than on the river after calling the turn bet.
@bestpokercoach clearly you don't watch much poker. durrr is one of the strongest players in the world. most players put him a class above gus, along-side phil ivey and patrick antonius. watch season 5 and season 6 high stakes poker and you'll see why.

Lederer played that hand beautifully...I actually like watching him online. It helps me when I'm running bad. At least there's someone out there playing hands as bad as I do...but I still know to raise AKs in almost any position...
I agree with several comments here. Howard makes a big mistake by limping. However I don't think he ever wins this pot. I think duurrr calls anyway and Antonio also calls. duurrr bets the flop, antonio calls (maybe raises) and Howard folds.

The problem with this is obvious since it is your opponent that controls the action, and it usually includes some kind of risky bluff at some point during the hand. Anyway if you're looking to start poker without risk you can take free 50 $ from Pokerfrik website ;)

Lederer played that hand beautifully...I actually like watching him online. It helps me when I'm running bad. At least there's someone out there playing hands as bad as I do...but I still know to raise AKs in almost any position...

I agree with several comments here. Howard makes a big mistake by limping. However I don't think he ever wins this pot. I think duurrr calls anyway and Antonio also calls. duurrr bets the flop, antonio calls (maybe raises) and Howard folds.
I don't think Howard should limp even with the fake raise from Hachem.

the dynamic here was hachem possibly (isnt seen on camera but is mentioned verbaly - although vaguely) posturing, which imo spooked or otherwise upsetted what howard might have done... allowing both blinds to enter.

This isn't even the only game he does it in, he called with A25 in razz with the door card 5 against a 7 and a ten. It's like if you deal him aces he'll limp.

Pretty typical Dwan play. Antonio is a tight and instinctive player, and he felt that something wasn't right. He was wrong, but Dwan is just a tricky SOB.
