You know, he starts singing it like he sings on young modern. He uses a different singing voice now.... seems like he had to alter his voice there for an old song. Hmmm.  I agree though, still great! Hugs to a fellow fan!

clipsal 500 just wansnt a great show for them, whoever is doing sound obviously sucks for one, and i think they were testing the waters in terms of getting back together off the hiatus and getting their groove back. i saw them in LA last year and it was amazing.

Daniel stated many years ago that by the time they recorded "Frogstomp" the band hated most of the songs on it, but that's all the material they had ready for an album and Epic wanted those songs.

they now refuse to play anything live from that CD, they were 14, it was years ago, and they feel no connection to that music anymore. same for much of "Freak Show". only two songs from that are still in their live setlists.

no ya fucken idiot, the reason why they dont play those songs anymore, is because they cant, literally. well they can play the songs still but Daniel Johns cant sing them anymore. that is why. just listening to how out of key he sings this song even compared to 3 years ago, he nailed it right on, now he cant sing like he used to, especially when he was 15. when the band was 15 was when his voice was fucken awesome, up until 2003 id say is when it started to sound like shit.

Yeah, it's like Johns' voice just gets worse and worse. When they played Wave Aid a couple of years ago, I even thought he was losing it then...but especially now. The band needs to get their groove back too...it sounds too sloppy.
