  • great video and great landing

  • I'm on that part of youtube again...

  • just saw "worlds scariest plane landings" on channel 5, and the footage from this vid is used in it!

(not as a scary landing, but in the intro)

  • i thought he was bout to takeoff on the taxiway

  • Comment removed

  • I don't understand how the nose gear came down and the others didn't. O.o

  • Hey! The same song plays in "The Ballad of Gay Tony"!

  • What a sexy aircraft.

  • I kind of wish it was the other way around..

  • I would love to have heared the raw version... IE the sounds of the engines etc!.. any chance??

  • Very Cool Video... Does anybody know who placed the camera there?

  • very cool!! :)

  • very nice beautiful.

  • Did you use a GoPro?

  • That is awesome!

  • copyright!

  • actually the beast now is the airbus a380

  • @flightfreak1000 nah... A380 is just a beast... ugly one too. the 747 is THE beast. :P

  • @CommanderDenton hey im a european and airbus comes from europ :(

  • @flightfreak1000 i'm european too. :P i didnt say airbus sucks. it's just A380 compared to 747... sorry, but the 747 takes the crown. :P

  • @CommanderDenton the airbus a380 can carry 850 people i think and boeing 747 can carry 550 people i think so airbus wins and yes the airbus a380 and the airbus beluga especilly the airbus beluga look fat and ugly ;-)

  • @flightfreak1000 maximum number of passengers is not the only factor. :)

  • @CommanderDenton what if we dont stop this conversation because it took half a page ok so we will stop this conversation and lets say you and me dont care about what is best and i mean it ok :)

  • @flightfreak1000 more people to die when that boat crashes.... it would be better if instead of RR or GE, they use a rowing stick out of every window ,.... really.. the airbus stuff floats very well..

you cant say a plane is better only for carring people you ignorant!

  • @TheMrclemen ummmm well still airbus a380 dident crash yet and 747 has had a few crashes by now

  • @flightfreak1000 in fairness the 747 has been around for over 20 years and the a380 has been around for 2 years

  • @TheMsM1993 try over 40 years..the first 747 flight was in 1969...boeing is the best.

  • My mom was wondering if I was watching porn with this soundtrack... Awesome video!

  • @fielderxei Porn < Airplanes

  • @fielderxei So was my roomie.

  • @my235 I let him keep guessing

  • @fielderxei LMFAOOO

  • @fielderxei I'm sure she'd much rather you'd watch porn than nerd out on this.

  • @BryceTaylorful No, she wouldn't.

  • Superb video, very nicely edited with appropriate music that adds rather than detracts. The photographer did an excellent job, especially considering he had to operate the camera with just one hand, while holding on with the other.

    ;)

  • Lol, only pulling out the nose gear just to film it, nice vid!

  • Wow,incredible,nice

  • lol, where pilots take their go-pro´s...

  • I assume the Contour was Recording even when you retracted the landing gear???

  • They used the alternate gear extension system which is used in an emergency; they can extend the nose-gear independent of the main gears.

  • Would the 6 dislikes be by the CAA? LOL

  • Best. Video. Ever.

  • Oh so it was tied on...... and heres me thinking it was the video diary of a Stowaway escaping on the front nose gear of a Jumbo..... haha

  • @ankakusu4

This video is well over a year old and close to 100,000 people have seen it. If it were illegal, they would've already done something about it.

Also, how can we prove that the uploader is the one who filmed it to begin with? Maybe he/she just remixed it and uploaded it...

  • @AirlinePilotStuart The fact that almost 100,000 people saw this vid and none of them took any action to draw attention to how some dumbs put many people's life into an ultimate risk does not justifies the crime herein. Also i'm not saying that the uploader is guilty. I'm blaming the person seen at the begining of the footage and pushback guy. I admit that the scenery is magnificent. But safety comes first and airline producers already install various cams to safe points on the plane.

  • @ankakusu4 who is flying passenger 747-200's anymore?

Notice the old P&W engines on the wings? Most likely a freighter here with a total flt crew of 3

    and no passengers.

  • @rampking1 It is, it says 747-200 "F" being freighter

  • @SteU4IA LoL !

You are right, the video was having issues loading and missed the very beginning.

My comment was in response to the other guy's concerns, he seemed to think it was a passenger carrying aircraft, putting many lives in jeopardy, etc.

At least I was correct, would have been really bad if I wrong ! Thanks !

  • @ankakusu4 This is NOT in the US! Chill!

  • Really girthy and long!

  • Great video.. shame about the doof doof music.

  • so was the camera on the nose gear? if so then why was it down on most of the approach and the main gear wasn't?

  • Engineers + math > *

  • Were you allowed to place a camera there? What if it came loose and got sucked in the engine? But very nice video! :p

  • Amazing ! JUST AMAZING!

  • Neat stuff!

  • amazing video! thanks!

  • wich song is that? wonderfull vid and great edit

  • can i ask the Flight Attendant to sit in the Cockpit,

can i ask the pilot to put a camera outside XD :P

  • how did you open the gear doors in flight to shoot the inflight part?

  • Great Video! You don't see many of these types of shots.

  • Engineers + Math > *

  • Did you have to manualy lower the nose gear to get it donw by its self?

  • Very, very nice the video. What´s the music? And how could you put the camera at the gear?

  • 0:20 What's with the three completely white aircraft?

  • why was the nose gear down for so long?

  • AWSOME!

  • Why did they take the other video off ?

  • @speedbird7471 what do you mean?!

  • @323tiim I had this video in my favorites before and when i decided to watch it again it said this video has been removed.

  • @speedbird7471 strange

  • Could someone tell me what the band or DJ that madethis song? wonderful music. Thanks

  • @fudeko1000 It's Eric Prydz or Pryda. The song is called Pjanoo.

  • he lowered the nose gear only using the manual gear extension handle...that's pretty neat.

  • WOW!!!

  • very very nice vid i love the 747 her and the a330 two of the most beautifull heavy planes ever made

  • I've got one question: Are you allowed to put a camera on the nosegear?

Because I know aviation is very strict in rules.

    Thanks;)

  • @Mixamo1993 well.. he did it.. right?

  • @plasmasoro Yes he did it, but maybe he wasn't allowed to do it. The fact that he did it, doesn't mean it's allowed.;)

  • @Mixamo1993 Some airlines come completely installed with cameras in different area for example on the wing, under belly, nosegear. They do this so that the passengers that are sitting aboard the plane will be entertained with whats going on around them.

  • @OneTrueWarrior1 Yes I know, but this one is placed by a tie wrap. And the cameras of the airliners self are placed professionally.

  • @OneTrueWarrior1 Yes, but this is a CARGO 747. There are no passengers.

  • One of my Top 10 YT vids!

  • amazing !

  • I'm curious. Was this shot with a GoPro HD Hero?

  • @ForrestDix Ahh, Contour HD I assume from video the tags.

  • I'm in love with this video! Whats the music here? Good taste huh

  • Fantastic video :)

Apparently 2 people are afraid of the beast

  • IS IT AN RC PLANE?

  • I think this video was made in Japan, Tokyo NRT! AWESOME VIDEO!! Congrats!!

  • @poopy13800

It's in South Africa from Johannesburg to Maputo

  • Did yall put only the nose gear down for some time?

  • nice landing! amazing video

  • 2 people died when they pressed the dislike button

  • 2 people are scared of airplanes

  • Great work!

  • Where was this aircraft flying from and two? Btw, i love this video!

  • @wiloakley JoBurg-maputo

  • I know that I have commented before about how much I love this vid, please don't ever take it down!!!!

  • The coolest video I've ever seen...I keep coming back to it. I used to be a ground Engineer with MK in Bristol.

  • a Fantastic video! thanks !

  • Where do you get all this footage from?

  • that was great ! thanks !

  • I could almost smell burning smoke. :))

  • Glad to see this video back on the web, are you still flying. All the best.....

  • This vidéo should have 16 more seconds ! Wonderfull, that's the creativity we want to see more on Youtube !

  • amazing!!!

  • Why was the nose-gear lowered before the main gear were?

  • Is that an access hatch just at the top of the image? Am I right in saying there is an access hatch behind the nose gear of the 747-200?

  • excelent

  • I've got the same camera after seeing this clip and it is amazing! Only thing missing is a remote control for on/off and record function. Other than that, simply amazing.

  • o.O what happened to the original upload? I remember seeing this about a year ago?

  • @Violetcrime Removed and re uploaded

  • is this a nose gear cam? if so why does just the nose gear come down at 3.14?

  • @TheAviationdisasters then the video wouldn't be as AMAZING! Pilots can manually retract landing gear if hydraulics fail.

  • @wowdude999 Actually the flight engineer was the one trained to unlock the doors and manually wind the gear down on the -200. Fantastic video!

  • You are my hero!

    Where is the camera attached?

  • Someone tell me why wing design now employs "pontoons" that look like fuel tanks on the underside of the wing? Was this an innovation in flap control? I assume they are not tanks. I recall when jets had smooth wing undersides, but the flaps were also different. These "pontoons" look as if they would cause drag under the best circumstances, but I assume they do not? Also, this is a great video, amazing, in fact, thanks for it.

  • @Alandix Those "pontoons" are the housings for the flap mechanisms, offcourse they will cause a little more parasite drag but the design should have reduced this to the least.

  • Speechless!!

  • Lovely work Matt. Keep going!

  • I simply adore this vid, the best aviation vids can get. Beautifuly composed.

Such a shame there are many dickheads who copy these vids and add a (Original) to the title. What a shame.........

  • Stuning video!

  • 0:43 is that an air france A380 in the background ?

  • @5IrFaN5 yeah

  • @5IrFaN5 yeah it is!

  • @5IrFaN5 yes :)

  • @5IrFaN5 Yes

  • @5IrFaN5

Yup, AF A380 it is! lol, i wonder what airports they were?

  • @5IrFaN5 What's more impressive is that it has an intact wing.

  • @5IrFaN5 yes it is :)

  • @5IrFaN5 dont think so :) nah stop lokk at it its not might be like an a321 or a320:)

  • SUPER

  • How do you get away with all this footage lol??!

  • u had a great idea= u have done a great video= and u added the best sound =I love it!

  • How do they release just the front landing gear and not the main gear.

  • @MrCars Alternate Gear Extension.

  • Fantastic!!!

  • I never knew that u could put only the nose gear down. 4:17

  • @fearfulAC130 I don't think he even put the gear down, just opened the cover.

  • @KOSUB11 No he did lower the gear. He used the manual lever and opened up only the nose gear. Watch as the door opens, and the gear drops down.

  • btw.. what airport were those?

  • ON MY KNEES BOWING DOWN.....BY FAR THE BEST VIDEO IN YOUTUBE!!!

  • AWSOME AWSOME AWSOME.

  • Brilliant, I have watched a number of your video's and can only congratulate you on a superb production. How did you get permission to drop the nosewheel in cruise???

    Well done

    Pjj

  • this is at heathrow airport. notice the air france a380 parked up at 0:42.

  • Comment removed

  • @britishairwayspilot1 .... Fail.

I promise you, AF380's actually go further than CDG to LHR!

If you actually looked at the title of the vid, it's Jo'burg-Maputo?

To the rest of you... try reading a few posts earlier than your own? The 742 has the ability to lower each gear alternately?

Best piece of footage on the Net.... well worth the bollocking!

  • @karibaboy74 ah yes you are correct. i just assumed so because i thought that air france a380 hasnt started jo'burg route :S

  • Beautiful view. So the destination was Johannesburg, what was the departure?

  • Pink floyd's 'learning to fly' would suit this vid better ;>

  • If the number of people pirating this video is a tribute then this must be one of the best videos on youtube! Love your work Balleka!

  • Some one missed the like button !!

  • Great video!!!!!!!!

  • very good video 5*****

  • yeah how did you get the nose gear down but not the main gear?

  • Nice touchdown Balleka, very smooth !

  • Hum, Is that an airplane, or an upside down E Z Loader trailer? LOL

  • How do they get just the front landing gear to open and not the main gear bay to open

  • I love this clip it was on youtube a few months ago then was removed ,im glad its back, thanks.

  • Comment removed

  • is it me or the centre of the landing gear turn?

  • @percboy93 That's the body gear steering in action, helps to reduce the turning circle and wear of the tyres.

  • @Balleka oohh.. now i get it.. no wonder my Flight Sim PMDG747 body gear always moving.. thnx a lot!! =)

  • @Balleka Is the body gear free caster, or is it hydraulically steered? Great vids BTW!

  • EXCELLENT! I loved the video and the music match was right on. I do cool onboard videos with just RC planes. Click on my name and check them out.

  • how is this possible???? the nose down ?? where is the main gear??

  • During descent, how did the pilots manage to take down main- and front landinggear and then take up just the main landinggear?

  • @DetEJagDe in the classic 747's you have a hydrolic panel to control the gear so you can lower them one-by-one

  • This poor beast is now stood up at Kemble, I hope it's just being stored.

  • you should put on anthrax instead of this music... it would be funny they have a song called belly of the beast...

  • That was an amazing video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • How was it possible to lower the N/G without lowering the M/G at the same time???

  • WWWOOWW! Great videoo!!!

  • This has seriously got to be one of the most incredible 747 videos I have seen. LOVE when the nose gear drops down while in flight. Keep them coming!

  • love it how the camera moves with the gear (of course yaaaa) but it kinda feels rendered ;D lol love that ... '4:00 SKYSURFIN 747 YEAH

  • Amazing vid

  • Didn't you drop the rear gear a little too soon ? Love this! Keep on trucking :)

  • @dervburner1 I think it is in case there is a gear fault.

  • Great video, I always like these videos.

Does the camera record for the entire flight, or does it switch off, then on again during the flight? Most cameras would have a recording limit of an hour or something?

  • What more can I say,f*****g wonderful. Thanks for posting :)

  • Why was it down?
