Stop Motion animation is where you take several pictures of an object in a series of poses and collect the frames and put them in one fluent animation.

Resulting in the object appearing as if it has moved on its own.

1) He cheated, and used CGI for all of the toy movements?

2) The toys aren't really moving by themselves with a life of their own?

or 3) This commercial isn't real because it was never aired on broadcast or cable TV?

when i say fake, i mean he used stop motion to create the movements of the robots, (Is that was CGI is?) and it never aired on T.V.

He made it himself, its homemade, not official.

Yeah, I don't think anyone on here was ever doubting that this was done with Stop Motion. Nor does the creator ever say its NOT Stop Motion.

CGI stands for Computer Generated Imagery... which means, used a computer to draw special effects.

And I personally think it would be lame if he just copied an official commercial and posted it on here, I think since he made it himself, that makes it better! So if making your own commercial is fake, then fake is better!

I have to say, @first I viewed this video w/trepidation-expecting it to be no more than an odd, maybe nostalgia induced experiment in self-gratification. I WAS WRONG! While I'm sure your VO is no less professional than the goons they hire already, your stop-motion is near-flawless. You had slick fighting choreography. The end reminds of all those T2 and other Kenner action fig ads of the 90's. I'm unsure whether the big H will take freelance talent, but if anyone had a chance @it, it'd b you .A+

The stop-motion is excellent, but I don't feel it's great as a commercial overall. The voice acting is kinda poor, and I don't think it's made clear enough for kids that these don't actually do this themselves. A better way might be to have the toys in animated battles on miniature sets, and then have separate scenes showing kids playing with them. That's the way it was done in some of the older commercials.
