  • The percentage of those who went to the polls were anemic. The Council District in the NW valley that gave more votes to Moore than Villaraigosa was one area where more people went to the polls than other parts of city. But the largest percentage (which is not much, but much larger than South LA and Downtown) was Council District 14...yup, Boyle Heights and El Sereno.(overwhelmingly to AV)...all info at City Clerk website.

  • Boyle Heights and El Sereno? A bunch of people who have current and former illegal aliens in their families, and they voted for a pro-amnesty candidate ... does this surprise you?

  • AV won by a landslide as predicted but I was very surprised about Walter Moore's numbers. The City Clerk's website has results by city council districts and Moore actually had more votes than Tony Villar in the district of the NW Valley (around Granada Hills) Walter Moore is now our Jean Marie Le Pen. Minutemen are the Blackshirts! Yikes, I can't believe such a fringe population as you guys exist in LA. Darn scary!!!

  • Think that's scary? Geez, this ought to put the fear of God into you then: The large majority of American voters oppose amnesty and want immigration laws to be enforced, just like the Minutemen do. I have some bad news for you. It is a minority of locations in this country wherein the local populace has pro illegal alien sentiments like the ones prevalent in the neighborhood where your school is located.

  • It's not "pro-illegal alien sentiment." What has happened to our country is horrendous yet the US has done nothing to halt it or fix it. I believe an immigration comprehensive reform should be enacted to allow the millions here already have a channel to become citizens. Their futures and loyalties are here. They abandoned Mexico for a reason. Along with that, I believe some sort of National Card should be pushed for and a national database in place so that everything gets in order w SocSec

  • Of course it is. Be realistic. The folks in Boyle Heights and El Sereno are largely current illegal aliens, former illegal aliens, or friends or family of the the first two. They don't think of illegals as criminals or tax parasites. They think of them as family members, neighbors and companions. They have pro-illegal alien sentiment, and want an amnesty, because they're part of their normal lives. That's just not most of America. Dude, get out a bit and look around. Every place is not L.A.

  • So many people in every corner of this country want a comprehensive immigration reform. So many people are ignorant about immigration. Many ask why these people aren't going about immigrating through legal channel not knowing that low-skilled, partly educated people are pretty much not wanted. I've been to Portland and to Salt Lake City amongst many other cities and many tax-paying citizens want a legalization process to occur so that these people can come out of the shadows. What do you suggest?

  • What do I suggest? I suggest you take a more realistic look at your country. The notion that immigr. laws should be enforced and illegal aliens shown the door is hardly "fringe". Yes, there are folks in every major city in America who want the amnesty you suggest. They are, however, a minority. The statistics bear that out. Even among Hispanic-American voters. The people most enamored of what you want are big business interests, the Far Left and family members of illegals. That's it.

  • This guy believes all Latinos are illegal. He believes in that Mexican invasion myth. Doesn't have a shot in Los Angeles. Villaraigosa hasn't done much campaigning and he's probably looking for a run for governor but I don't see Moore getting more than 10% of the vote, if that.

  • la city is a sanctuary for gang members because the officials are all on the take and in the pockets of Mexico and the drug cartels!

  • Yes, claims of Racism are tricks to shame and silence Americans. Type "THE RECONQUISTA HAS BEEN CANCELLED" into search box and subscribe.

  • This man is hope for Los Angeles.

Current mayor Villaraigosa is a punk defending illegal immigrants and gang members instead of the law abiding good citizens of L.A.

    Give him your vote!

  • if he even tried to get rid of the mexicans la would have a huge riot.

  • lol

    i know huh

  • FUCK YOU

  • This guy makes the most sense from any politician in a long time. I have given to his campaign already and plan to do so again. Visit his website...waltermooreformayordotcom! We deserve to live in a beautiful city free from illegals and crime. Pass this on!!

  • How can he get elected in a 10% White City?

    Democracy=Mob Rule

  • The majority of voters in Los Angeles are still white ... and it's not quite 10% of the population, at least not yet (I think us melanin deprived folks still compose a little over 1/3 of L.A. residents). Remember, a lot of the Latinos in CA are not citizens or earn little money (and are therefore statistically less likely to participate in elections).

  • I'm trying to dig up the most current demographics I can find on Google. It is difficult to pin down because most available figures are based on the 2000 census wich did not have a catagory for Hispanics and just lumped them together with Whites. The figure you sighted of 33% sounds more like a County wide figure to me. The latest info I've seen is that the state wide non-Hispanic White population is down to 43%. "Non Hispanic White" is the designation to watch for.

  • Yeah, but many white voters are so liberal, especially in the Westside. I've spoken to many would-be voters throughout the city, and those who know about the election are vehemetly against Moore because of his anti-illegal immigrants stance. They see him as too extreme to the right.

  • Don't underestimate the power of a dead economy and skyrocketing taxes to quell prevailing feelings of sympathy that many in the middle class have for our undocumented neighbors.

  • I'm underestimating Moore and the rest of the clowns challenging Tony Villar. I bet you a French Dip sandwich at Phillipe's that Villaraigosa wins by a landslide.

  • No, you are underestimating the ill will many people feel for illegals in hard economic times. And insofar as your prognostication is concerned, I suspect you're right but hope you're wrong.

  • NOSaints, I like this guy. What is your take? If I lived in LA I think I would help Elect this guy. Being in Santa Clarita we aren't into campaigning for LA mayors. But I hope you do.

  • My take is that he's getting my vote. Insofar as I am concerned, the two most important problems are taxation and illegal immigration. He wants to reduce both of them so he's my man.
