I got hip to Phillip when he was in the PBS documentary about the American Revolutionary War (yeah that far back). He's the shit. He makes you want to get into acting.

PSHoffman is a brilliant actor. I first saw him in Nobody's Fool with Paul Newman. He played an uptight police officer with anger management issues. Since then, I've realized Hoffman can do or play anything. On the surface, PSH seems like a modern day Spencer Tracy because his acting is effortless...very natural. But underneath that simple facade lies a complicated artist with an edge. He IS among the best actors of our time. Very appealing on every level.

Hoffman is a standout actor because he has the ability to communicate primarily with unspoken gesture. Just look at how well he communicates melancholy when Earl's dying scene in Magnolia or true excitement in the movie Twister. He forces himself to use more than just charm to pull off a beautiful performance and that is what makes him a pleasure to watch and a great actor.

Women are funny. If Hoffman was the EXACT person but in George Clooney's skin, you'd probably say "There is something so, so BRILLIANT about this man!" Haha... Women tend to make personality comments when they're really thinking about sexuality/physical attraction.

I'm in the middle of watching "The Savages." It's all right, but it has an irritating air of pretentiousness about it.

its not a rumor its wahts people want alot of people feels that he would make a great penguin. i didnt hear anything of it . i just thought that he would make a good one on my own and started spreading it around and then i noticed that oher people thought the exact same thing. i think that the global community all think that he could pull off the penguin in a very suave and evil manner. and i really coulndnt see anybody else doing a better job but i would love to hear suggestions. but who knows
