We do have high quality MICs on each cam, but the sounds on this are all frogs and insects. The Timber Rattler never got in a defensive posture or rattle. It seemed the snake wasn't too worried. It was really interesting to see the Timbers don't rattle often. We saw encounters with deer, turkeys, and even bears and they never rattled. We learned a lot of interesting things this past season about the Timber by watching them on these live cams.
something tells me you guys set up the bear, fox, rattlesnake, chipmunk... i don't really care but its pretty odd that the bear and chipmunk were in the exact same area, exact same spot.
It was pretty odd to us at the time as well when we watched it unfold, but believe it or not, the bear and chipmunk occured within 2 minutes of each other. Our cam operators spotted the Rattler and had been watching it for hours when the Chipmunk came up. We were still in shock about catching this on film when the Bear leg came into view. This clip of the Fox is a totally separate snake and cam. This clip is on Hidden Pond cam and the other is Dogwood Mtn cam.
There must be a lot of them in your area to get so much footage. I've spent a good percentage of my life in the woods and only encountered one.

Hmm, thats interesting how the rattlesnake didn't get into its defensive posture and rattled away at the fox.

We WISH we could stage stuff like that, but it happens as it happens Live and uncut.
