• Hi, chris, i like your video very much, and you are a super star, cute as well ... your chinese language is perfect! enjoy your stay in china!

  • 你变帅了啊 嘎嘎

  • Haha this video was awesome! The crazy "hello" woman was... well.. crazy! It was great to see your part of Beijing that you must go through every day.. it really inspires me to go do something in china like you someday.

    Thanks :)

  • haha, glad you liked the ending! I had studied for a year and a half before coming to China, and was completely overwhelmed when I first arrived. But if you take it seriously, it comes along eventually. Hope to see you in Beijing soon!!

  • you really inspire to study aboard in China some day, but first i need to learn the language. hope to see more of your vids soon ^_^

  • Hey, thanks for watching! Yeah, I started the videos just as stories for my family, and then so many people started getting inspired by them... its really motivating for me. Best of luck in starting Mandarin!!! message me if you ever have any questions

  • You finally spoke some mandarin in one of your videos! ♥ And your pronunciation is great!

Chinese people are always so skeptical to everything, haha, so shock that the first two people didn't want to say hello to the cam :P!

Watching your video reminds me of when I was in Suzhou summer two years ago. GOD DAMN WARM! How's the weather there now? Looks HOT =( I want to visit Beijing sometimes when I'm in China. The only places I've been to is Shanghai and Suzhou (my parents home town).

  • haha yeah, while i was doing my interviews, literally EVERY person I talked to asked me how much my computer cost me. Beijing is lots of fun, but it's been so crazy humid the last couple of days... I don't know whats up. Thanks for the comment!!

  • Hahaha that lady's laugh was so funny! They seemed very nice, this inspires me to go to China too :)

  • Yeah, everyone here are usually really friendly towards foreigners... the Tibetans are especially fun. haha

  • About time slacker! Hey I had my China interview with my school 3 days ago......Looks like I'll be in Shenyang in August and OMG I only know how to say hello, thank you, and good bye in mandarin!!!! This is going to be interesting.

  • wooo! Well I definitely wish you a safe journey over here! Be sure to write when you land! haha. And yeah... I've been slacking for sure. You're in for an awesome journey!!!

  • Wow. You can speak Chinese very well. I can't speak any Asian languages and I'm Filipino.

    I'm ashamed. :(

    *commits seppuku*

  • My Chinese is ok. The video kept cutting in and out, so it sounds like my grammar is really awful here. Put the blade down! lol. You should give one of these languages a try!

  • I'm going to learn Japanese when I get to college. The writing seems easier to me so I'll try that before moving to Chinese. Maybe Korean also. Maybe.

  • yes awesome i was waiting for another vid dude. great job

  • hey, thanks a lot for watching! I just got a job teaching english on the weekends, so when I get more on my feet financially, I am going to buy a real camera and take footage around China

  • YOU PLAYED THE PART AT THE END EXACTLY LIKE I WOULD HAVE. that was just hilarious when it first went down in real time. "Hopefully I will be able to get back onto a good schedule soon and make videos more regularly" - - please do! it's been forever but I'm sure you're busy. This is a redeeming video considering the time simce the FIREWORK madness. Very cool.

  • haha. glad you enjoyed it. I figured you would like the ending as well. Yeah, sorry again for the delay... hopefully the videos will come with increasing frequency this semester...

  • lol I know that stop... is the Korean cafe still open? you have to go up a flight of stairs from the street on the south side of the road going westwards... might be closed now but it was a cool second living room they had net connections... be interesting to see it if it's stiil running...

  • Hmmm... I think I know of a Korean spot that way. It might be the same place!
