Now,I'm a young student.I prefer to wear metal gear(cut off jacket with patches,boots,etc.)

But there are certain fad fashion looks that a metalhead can NEVER use.

V-necks,slip-ons,skinny jeans,tight poseur band shirts and especially emo scene hair (etc.) or any other trendy look.

While I agree that modern trends have taken apart a lot of heavy metal's philosophy, the clothes someone wears have nothing to do with whether or not a person truly likes metal. It's what they wear on the inside, if you will, that determines that. If a person's wearing skinny jeans and things like that on the inside, then they probably don't appreciate metal.

@Lekiwi33 -Core bands often use a wide range of vocals. ABRB's older stuff went from low to mid to high to inhales. Knights of the Abyss' vocalist is similar to the vocalists in Malefice and Heaven Shall Burn. Then, there are bands like ADBOK whose highs would fit pretty well in black metal.

As for death metal and tech death, I don't really know any pure death metal. I mostly listen to melodeath and power metal.

Malefice is too heavy for metalcore, so I consider them deathcore.
