  • does anone know what kind of track drops emi is running?

  • Hey guys imma ride my bike 62miles in the warm California sun, follow me in a car and just film me.

  • 60 miles in under three hours on a fixed gear (looks like a pretty hefty gear ratio, though!) is impressive to me. I know that big grin you get from riding your bike for the love as well. Great stuff.

  • Gear ratio??

  • beginning school is in san dimas, ca.

  • go emi, dude that kicks ass. let the haters talk all the shit they can. you're real fans will find this motivational. i ride from my house to salt lake city a lot its about a 20 mile trek i do it almost every other day to weekend even in the snow. all on a specialized new york no breaks langster. it may not be 62 miles like you're ride but i bet i feel just as free as you did on this ride. ride or die homes..

  • That's it? Not saying it's easy, but what is the point of this video? What did the guys filming this do? Drive from L.A. to Loma Linda at 25 mph?

  • @yanjuanyu Sound like one of those people that can't ride their bike out their own street.

  • gear ratio please...

  • what is the name of the BGM?

  • @1:39 in my hood :D on Alder and San bernardino in Fontana sickkkk! lol

  • i wonder how many flats he got along the way

  • sexy ass bike

  • Do I see bibs under his shorts there? ;)

I do like them shorts he is wearing though, looks good.

  • My girl lives in Loma Linda. Definitely going to keep my eye out for that beautiful leader and aerospoke when I'm in that area. lol.

  • @pulse1423 i hope you dont get hit by and die from not wearing a helmet

  • nice helmet...

  • that bike is worth more than my car

  • @TeamSackToTheMax get your hustle on

  • No form! Would be such a better rider if he had proper form. Especially when he is in the drops.

  • Nice video, dope set up

  • fixed queer fAGGOTS! EAT A DICK

  • @yanjuanyu why do u get so pissed? Its probably because you know you are not capable of having the skill to ride such a magical steed?

  • @yanjuanyu hhmmm i sense alot of pent sexual frusteration in your comment, were you possibly put in pink dresses and touched by your uncles when you wer younger?? hmm i wouldnt doubt it =)

  • @yanjuanyu you're just jealous because we can ride as far as you geared people on just a single gear on our track bikes :)

  • bike check ?

  • going Long Beach to San Diego !

  • the bike is the brush that carries me across the canvas

  • does anyone know what ratio he rides?

  • @MultiEngland96

    hes riding 52x16

  • I feel bad about a comment I made here earlier, I come off like some dick when what I am really trying to say, is, you don't need a fucking support team, you don't need people waving your flag, you don't need to be all hollywood, you don't need a video, you don't need to be on any team, you don't need kids calling out your name, you don't need anything except a bike, and the spirit to ride, THEN you can RIDE TO WORK, WORK TO EAT, EAT TO LIVE, LIVE TO RIDE. Peace X

  • Song please

  • Emi Brown, madd props..... fixed for life....

  • i really dont know why there is always such arguing on videos. i dont care if you ride a rode bike, mountain bike, track bike, commuter, fuckin recumbant... its all cycling isn't it? its a lot better than driving and if you are having fun you cant ask for more. get over it goons

  • @swaggabeef1

    Exactamundo amigo.

  • @swaggabeef1 Here here man!

Im a hard core audax/road cyclist but I love these videos! The bikes are beautiful! So much so that Im about to buy things for my own fixie!

All this arguing is stupid. If you've got handle bars and peddles, then you're awesome.

  • Sick ass bike!!!

    Love the HED3

  • prerunner at 1:30 <3

  • thats a sick video, but if the point is that he had a fast time, thats pretty lame... I did the Dirty Kanza 50 mile gravel race on a mountain bike in the rolling hills of eastern Kansas in 2 hours and 27 minutes..

  • @mattdrummer620 respect bro, thats fast as fuck. and apparently just as fast as emi was going in this video. im just confused because it looks like hes just cruising. but whatever.

  • Comment removed

  • is he wearing a jersey under the shirt or a fanny pack? i need one of those

  • R.I.P Emi's Leader :')

May the new owner die in hell.

  • @fux7d Where'd you hear about his Leader? Just curious to know.

  • @EternalSickness Heard from forums that his old Leader (the one featured in his segment of MASH SF [2008]) had been stolen.

I was just simply wishing that whoever stole it will die in hell, because that bike was quite a build! :)

  • @fux7d Shit dude, I just read the article on it and I'm just thinking to myself, "Who the fuck would steal something so seemingly iconic... How the hell does one ride that without having the bike stickers going unnoticed...?"

    3 years ago, eh. Damn.

  • @EternalSickness Exactly man, was quite pissed when I read it.

Emi's got a new one seeing he's supposedly sponsored by Leader Bikes :')

The thing is, people steal bikes and then they strip the paint &stickers off them, re-spray them and sell them on as new bikes. That's the worst part, and the victim spend thousands of $ building it (+manual labour).

Sucks ass.. This is a lesson for all, register your bike with Cycle Safe schemes! :)

  • @fux7d didn't he ride a bianchi for the mash video?

  • @norecess89 he also had a Leader 735-TR at the same time too

  • its nice to see that a real fixed gear rider has the same fork as mee.... well same design.... i always see hipsters with those forks now

  • Why doesn't he have grip tape on his handlebars? I've seen so many people doing this lately and I don't see any reason for it.

  • @DerpMasterHerp cause he go hard like that

  • @DerpMasterHerp personal preference

  • @DerpMasterHerp when you sweat it makes the handlebar slippery

  • @DerpMasterHerp Idon´t have grip tape too but I have grips on the low side because I like the polish gray on my handlebars and I wear gloves to

  • @DerpMasterHerp less maintenance someone would tell you. but really... he doesn't wear a fucking helmet. HE'S HIP!

  • I want that bike.

  • what kind of drop bars r those?

  • @WERDOME deda

  • seems like the route was majority flat... couldn't have been that hard.

  • whats the ratio hes running?

  • That's a good ride for a fixie that's how we roll

  • What gear ratio does this guy use?

  • Thats a leader right?

  • What ratio does this guy ride?/ errybody be sayin all type a shiit... LOL

  • his hands seem to be a bit close to eachother. I thought that effects breathing?

  • @ZachTheAmazing wider= more air. tighter= less air more aerodynamic

  • 2 questions, was that a fixie? and why they hell is he not wearing a helmet? a helmet has saved my life 2wice, and to me, anyone who gets on any bike without one, is out of their goddamn mind.

  • @gtiturbo85 a fixed gear bicycle is a bike that does not have a freewheel. The pedals never stop moving because the cog is fixed to the hub. So it is like the first bicycles.

  • @gtiturbo85

A fixie is a track bike. The back gear is affixed to the hub such that it cannot freewheel.

And about helmets, you're probably right. It's possible for the purposes of this video that he did not wear a helmet, and that he usually does.

  • what ratio is he running?

  • with all those hills and traffic lights he must have been riding 35 miles an hour most of the way. right.

  • @tommyogtigern probably doing around 20 not 35 miles an hour. took him nearly under 3 hours to do 62 miles... he is beast tho

  • @HOVEED where can u get stickers like those?

  • I rode with him not to long ago :D haha

  • @HeyHeyHenry213 Thanks, Henry, for the lesson. I've raced track, road, MTB, and even xc skiing. So I know all about bikes and the different ways of carrying water. But just as you won't see me bringing my skis out in the summer, you won't see me setting my bikes up in a way that's going to cripple me. At the very least, Emi should have raised his bars a bit. At best, he should have chosen a different bike.

That's the point I was making.

  • Inspiring. I'm going to remove the derailleurs from my bike so that I've only got one gear instead of twenty. Then I'll remove the bottle cages to necessitate carrying my water in a waist holder. Next, I'll sew up the pockets in the back of my favorite jersey so I can't carry food. Finally, I'll drop my bars so low that I can only reach the tops. Hopefully someone will drive a sag wagon along beside me...

  • @hagenar You can be a smart ass all you want but at the end of the day I guarantee you Emi puts in more work than you ever will, and will be an inspiration to more people than you will ever be. Emi #Winning

  • @patrickmustdie Hey, I love cycling in all its forms, and I'm sure Emi's a super guy. Just saying he's made some questionable equipment choices here. He looks uncomfortable throughout his ride, and appears to be limping afterward.

  • @hagenar You are an idiot.. This is not a road bike, with gears.. It is a track bike meant for the velodrome, with only one speed, a fixed cog. With this it seems like you know nothing about cycling, and is as closed minded as Hitler to the Jews.

  • @ErickoMF I have raced track, and love track bikes. Track bikes have their place. And it's not on 62 mile journeys in the sun. I've forgotten more about bikes and cycling than you'll ever know. Your validation of Godwín's law proves that you have no valid opinion, only outrage. You should be ashamed.

  • Comment removed

  • @hagenar His bars are not low, his seat post is high, to keep full leg extension, which means full power going in to each pedal stroke.. If you really did know anything about cycling, you would know that. You're a fucking idiot. And my addition of a Hitler comment, actually made sense.

Everyone has a valid opinion. Godwins Law only shows that A Hitler comment will show as a conversation goes on. It does not make or break an opinion. You should just stop trying to troll, because you suck at it.

  • @ErickoMF Douchebag. I never suggested that his seat was too high. I indicated his bars were too low, which is why he can only reach the drops when he is out of the saddle. The bike looks fricking killer, but it's an awful set-up for this type of riding. Try to refute what I've actually typed. Don't let your imagination run wild with projections.

Or try something even better: Take a break from the internet for a bit. Ride a bike. Maybe try racing. It might improve your personality.

  • @hagenar Idiot, I never said you said his seat was high. I said his seat was high, to add full leg extension without having to get off saddle. This set up is actually comfy. I commute on a set up like this everyday, and have no physical problems at all. I don't let my imagination run wild like you, Unlike you I read before I reply. And he can set up his bike whichever way he is comfy. No bike has a specific way of being set up. It can be the way he wants. See closed minded again.

  • @ErickoMF Fuck you are stupid. Bike set-up is individual. Emi can't reach his drops while seated because he's not flexible enough. If he raised them a bit he'd be more comfortable and less likely to hurt himself. I've got nothing against Emi as a person.

If you ride around with your arms locked in full extension and your hands on the top of the bars, then you're doing it wrong. If you're contention is that Emi's position looks good, then you're exposing your ignorance.

  • @hagenar Man you're dumb It's because you can't keep your head up in those drops, not a due to a positioning mistake. We ride track bikes obviously

  • @DRFTClub I'd bet you've never spent more than an hour on a bike without stopping.

  • @ErickoMF Maybe you should take a personality check. Such a crappy troll like you, needs a new hobby.

  • My name is Mike Robinson. I can ride from Glasgow to Edinburgh on a factory Lemond in a little over 3 1/2 hours. In the rain, up and down hills, windy as fuck and the road is about as good as Poland in 82. I wish someone would give me free bikes and a video clip....

  • @strangefacekid Wishing will get you nowhere. Do the shit they did to get on.

  • @Onyxaxe

I've been doing it for years ya fanny.

  • @strangefacekid Lol. never been called a fanny before. Just keep at it maybe fixed gear riding will get big enough to pay more people to sell products.

  • This man is no hipster.

  • What size is that bike Emi was using?

  • @fixedtrix1 i assume he uses 51 because he's short ( his seat post is high)

  • @landmarker001 Alright thanks man.

  • @fixedtrix1 he uses 51 because he is below 5 10

  • @landmarker001 Okay.

  • @MrOatmealguy hey broski they arnt biking guys. google hipster and youll see what I mean. trend followers..

  • @MrOatmealguy there called tri-spoke hipster

  • @MrOatmealguy this guy must be a hipster.

  • What kind of stem is he riding?

  • @ MetechStudio949 ive been riding a 55cm Leader 725 and it is doing me good im about 5'7-5'8 tall and you also got to keep in mind that a leader 725 frame is a riding frame and when you ride you want your feet to have a good extension so your muscle have breathing room.. hope this helps and @the nubbz Coghouse website has them instock its .com sorry youtube you know

  • can anyone tell what seat that it?

  • Over 20MPH average on a distance of 62miles is impressive. On a fixed gear, even more so.

  • Hey man, what lenses/filters did you use to gain this effect?

  • you guys make it look so epic.... i do high desert to pomona every weekend.

  • can you email some of the pictures at the ending? I would like to use it as my desktop wallpaper

  • awesome..so awesome...iv been saving my money so i can get a nice bike like this (i have a felt brougham)

    this is inspiration. thanks.

  • wow this guy is amazing he did this non stop

  • What kind of handlebars are those. I've seen drop handlebars, but hos look different. Also anyone knoww hats headset and stem he's using ?

  • What shoes/pedals?

  • Is that frame carbon fiber?

  • @onestrangewinternite No aluminium, the fork is though...

  • I've looked at their geometry a number of times, it's just different than what I'm used to. My stand over height is 34" which matches their 61 cm, but my current top tube length is 585 which matches their 58 cm. I just want to know which one is going to be more comfortable for me. Anyone who actually rides a Leader, feel free to throw out your suggestions.

  • Leader Bikes has some cool frames, riders and advertisements, but the last 2 emails and 3 telephone calls of mine havent been returned. I want to buy a 725tr but cant decide what size and no help from Leader as of yet.

  • @MetechStudios949 Not sure when you contacted them but They're in Las Vegas for interbike from the 21st to the 27th.

  • @HOVEED I have been calling them every week for the last month. No one there answers the phone. just a machine everytime. It's pretty frustrating when all I want is some questions about the geometry answered.

  • inspirational

  • well all spend like 350 maybe a lil more but i just want somthing thats good for the road and fast:) lol

    somthing nice

  • I can't believe he uses clip in pedals on a fixie. crazy. but I suppose he has the experience

  • hey whats a good leader frame???
