When I listen to Underworld, I know what great Electronic music is, but I just don't think Skrillex can hold a candle to Underworld. Underworld and some of the other electronic groups who emerged in the 90s set a bar very high that I do not think newer electronic musicians can meet let along exceed. I just think it is very easy for electronic artists to become generic and Skrillex and others are very generic.
@DJBrokenHigh Yes, I think so too. The music on MTVs AMP introduced to me to amazing electronic music. 90s electronica is light years ahead of electronic music today. There were some good releases in the 2000s but those came from established acts like Orbital and Underworld.
@Sche13e Yeah it's definitely not prog-rock, but also not one of Underworld's better albums, IMO. But this album has Two Months Off on it so I can't complain.
ohh yes! And I love it more than the other stuff, except for the most famous ones like cowgirl/rez AND the chillout album, the one with mmm skyscraper I love you and m.e =)

dubnobasswithmyheadman is the chillout album you're thinking of. I think everything they've done is too original to be categorized so casually. It's just Underworld and simply amazing.
Totally right. I've tried so many different genres, but I always come back to this sort of thing. Too bad you can't find something similar! drives me nuts. Underworld's songs sets me into amazing creative and "underworld" state. This particulary song takes me to another world. I think of sophisticated, modern dark, café lounges. with a dreamy atmosphere. An untouchable beautiful feeling, I don't know, its so dreamy. The whole album is just amazing. nothing like it.
