VTR sucks for the most part...I've given up trying to find "the closest clan" to ones I liked in VTM like the Tremere and others...why not just play VTM? Not that all of VTR sucks, some bloodlines are cool additions like the Sangiovanni and Apollinaire, but that's about it (for me)
um, im pretty sure this isn't "bloodsucker 2000", this sounds like the original "bloodsucker".... bloodsucker 2000 is a more or less a remix, and this sounds like the original
Who, the Khaibit? They hardly share any characteristics besides the similar disciplines, which are watered down anyways. Actually, the entire blood-line is watered down. No elitism, no Sabbat, no dedication to the Vampiric condition.
Yeah, I see little bits and pieces of the Sabbat everywhere. The Brood supplement especially, because I was amazed they were able to flesh out what seemed like a horde of two-dimensional demon-worshipping wannabes into an actual faction. I know White-Wolf didn't want to remake V:TM, and I respect them greatly for it. Lots of people love new Vampire. All the more power to them. Me, I'll still be hosting the same old games.

Thats exactly what they want the camarilla covenants to think they are, its all a distraction from their more....subtle operations.
Gotta say I love them both I've just never got a chance to play the older one enough to make enough of a decision but I think I do prefere it from the little bits I've played to be honest.
Tzimisce theme - the Tzimisce are the leaders of the Sabbat along with the Lasombra (the Sabbat is a society of vampires that, unlike the Camerilla, revels in their inhumanity). Have you ever seen Hellraiser? The Cenobites are a little like the Tzimisce, except the Tzimisce are, with their unique Discipline (power), able to form flesh and bones, not distort it, to just about anything, on themselves or any other unfortunate victim.
Ofcourse they have. NWOD just imported the old clans as bloodlines, like the Malkovians and whatnot. It's still no where near as great (for me, ofcourse) as Vampire: The Masquerade, because it lacks the Sabbat and, most importantly, the Lasombra!

yeah, you may be right there.
If you want the dedication to the vampiric condition i would look at the Brood.
Elitism would be with the Invictus.
you see the broke philiosiphies within the sects into the covenants.
But they arent as cool.

Ya know the NWOD has a Mekhet bloodline that shares trhe same name and discipline, as well as a similar weakness.
and they're still sick fucks.
Just sayin y'know
