  • Hi Kiko,

I learned the song using your video 2 years ago. I havent played it for a while and I forgot a couple of the licks, so I am back to learn from you again. Thanks alkot dude.

I love your way of teaching, its advanced and straight forward, because there is no beginner lessons for learning lead guitar. specially when it comes to classic rock.

I love you man, and thanks again.

  • @tecteh1 I'm happy to help, thanks for your feed-back and have fun!!!

  • Did you read the news? Gilmour called out that someone had stolen his hands, now we found who robbed him :P I'm joking, you sounded perfect.. I felt Gilmour in your playing seriously, but give more time on bends Gilmour plays with heart not with speed.

  • @Lebaron1987 I wish Gilmour said that!! He's the man with the BLUES in his soul, thanls anyway!!!

  • BEAST! :)

  • Nice work

  • amazing cover,, very well played you, can check out mine if you want, not sure if its as good though

  • I've been playing guitar, mainly acoustic, for over 12 years now - but when I see REAL guitar players like you, doing some mind-blowing stuff like that solo; I just wanna pick up my guitars and smash them into a million pieces !! I'm not 'defeatest' or anything; I just KNOW I'm never gonna be THAT good....!!! It breaks my heart..., ; it really does................ but you were amazing kiko, just awesome to watch....

  • @mickwade1 no need for frustration, it's not a competition, don't let it break your heart, let it inspire you!!!

  • @kikoperes1 , You are an inspiration to all people, I play guitar for about 5 years, and I love hearing people like you to show your talent

  • @mickwade1 , Hey buddy, Im 13 and ive learned 30% of the solo and im still learning. If i can, you probably can too, its not that hard, all you need is ALOT of practice :) .

  • @mickwade1

Your are right dude. It did take me over 10 years as well to realize that the real Classic Rock which I liked since i was 8 is the lead electric guitar, not rhythm/ acoustic guitar. so it's been over 10 years that I have been playing lead and I love it .

    You could do it.

be patient, step by step , piece by piece, IT'LL HAPPEN.

  • My goodness... amazing!

  • Man alive! this is the best and nearest to gilmour rendition of CN I have ever heard! amazing! well done. I play a bit of the old guitar but more of a sing and strum rhythm guy. hence wish you were here is perfect for me. I only dream of playing like you. well done my man.

  • @y0daki it was played from the heart, cause that's where Gilmour is coming from, for sure!! Nice that you felt it, have fun with the slow part, take your time, and long live David Gilmour!!!

  • simply respect...

  • very powerfull!

  • that sound is awesome!!

    2 thumbs up

  • Electrical guitar is made for this solo !!! Good job man. So close to Gilmour !!!!

  • ur good , but annoyingly and un neccesarilly erratic

  • @dogg111222 Yea, but imagine the guitarface that he cut out.

  • @dogg111222 dude really

  • What amp/effects do you use?

    Great cover!

  • comfortably thumb

  • arretado!

  • How long is your thumb

  • awesome but...pump up the volume!!!

  • you did a really good job on the solo.cool!

  • comfortable numb solos are just too amazing... great job though...

  • respect......

  • Awesome bending and vibratos, dude. you got it down.

  • Great video and awesome sound

  • great solo... better then me. And ur not even blowing the windows out of the house. Beginners turn their little amps up, and sounds like shit in the other room. Great cover man! No two people sound just alike when they are playing guitars...lol

  • great cover 10/10 but dude you're playing it like its acdc... lighten up a bit play it like its floyd slow and calm, how its meant to be.

I'm not trolling or anything just saying ya know, glad youre passionate while you play atleast :)

  • @superpornlover True. I agree ansolutely with that =) No offence man

  • you started the second solo too early

  • Took it for a ride, Brah!

  • Parabéns!!

  • thanks! great job!!

  • better if you turned on your amp and turned down the song He He Nice try my man

  • @gezzad Lmao retard. He's legit.

  • I would have given it another name than solo. LOL...I know it's a solo, but it's different than any other solo...it lasts 7:19 minutes!

  • I like the fact that you can hear the pick.

    It tells me 2 things:

    1. You can get a fantastic sound without having to crank a 100W tube head up to 11. (you can make it scream in a nice and quiet way)

    2. The musician and the instrument are one. It's not possible to put this kind of pressure on a guitar unless the guitar wants it also. It's like a jockey's whip on a derby winner.

Great video. Thanks for sharing it.

  • you make it look so easy :)

    Great cover! Congrats!!!

  • nice ty

  • A few of you nitwits need to loosen up and figure out that what you see here is an accurate note by note translation of the real song. Might be heavy handed but he could eliminate that by with a hundred different types of distortion. For the most part plays it clean, and for that reason makes it easier to hear.

For all the BS you find here this guy breaks it down better than most.. I'm looking forward to "Instantpoetry's" re-release of how this should be done. He's clearly the pro here...

  • very nice

  • excelent job !!!

  • With all due respect as well,I think you can play guitar. Congrats. I'll try it and see what it turns out. Awesome.Thanks.

  • I fell sorry for you.

  • @instantpoetry what would know? i dont see you with any vids. he sounds fine and im sure better than you

  • thanks for the demo someday I may be able to do the lead.....arghhh!

  • Thanks a million for slowing solo 2 down. I just picked up the guitar for the first time 3 weeks ago just to learn this song. I have solo 1 down good but struggling with solo2. Great job!

  • holy fuck poor strings

  • lol you have a point there.. maybe...

  • incredible, you're great..thanks

  • Very well done! Mind telling me what gear you used? Thanks!

  • Impressive. You'd make David proud.

  • fucking nice dude

    :D

  • you're great men :)!!!!

  • damn alot of emotion put in that solo

  • you're pretty damn good man! let's hear some originals. I bet they rock too!

  • very good!

  • WoW 5/5

  • Your so good I want to say the video is fake! Exellent video man

  • nice solo...you've got the gilmour feel

  • good job

  • man thats incredible.. ive been workin on this solo jus i cant get the timing right, its driving me crazy..

  • Great! You got just the right feel.

    Thanks for the slow part.

  • WOW! THAT IS THE BEST COVER OF THIS SONG !!!!! what amp are you using??

  • the sound, i believe, is from David Gilmour. Klkoperes1 is still playing the song and quite wonderfully at that but he has the cd version playing louder, so that's what you hear.

  • You might want to check your sound settings and ability to judge what you think you hear. I'm what could be considered critical when it comes to judging what I see here. But this guy nails it. He might be heavy handed, but it's all him. And he proves it by slow walking it through for clarity.

    Nice job Kikoperes, and thanks....

  • your thumb on top of the neck is driving me crazy.

  • i know how u feel man!

  • @wellfuckyoumr ahahaha

  • @wellfuckyoumr thats how hendrix played

  • @wellfuckyoumr he is muting the top e string with it alot of ppl do it

  • @wellfuckyoumr why is that? sorry if it is a stupid question... I am a newbie...

  • turn it up! can hear your strings acoustically. and it will be easier to get rid of the silences when switching positions

  • nice

  • Gilmour....

  • if you wanna fake his name, start with spelling it correctly... -.-

  • Awesome!!!

  • You're a genius!!!!

  • .D cool!!

  • Exellent play, but your hands doens´t move naturally.

  • Naturally?? What does that have to do with being a good guitar player?

  • I agree his hands seem confused... I think it's his bends that are doing it.

  • hi, what kinda pickups do you have in your guitar?

  • love fenders

  • Trochę cicho słychaś sygnał z pieca, ale oczywiście się czepiam ;) Świetna robota. PS. Jakiej grubości strun używasz?

  • Good God Ya'll !!!

  • You are an excellent guitarist!!!

  • I've been practicing this for a while.Excellent tutorial!!!!!!!

    Thanks Bro..................

  • One of the greatest, most soulful solos ever. You play it so, so well. Really inspire me to get better. Thanks@

  • so great !

  • Hi, Thanks so much for posting this! I haven't thought of this song in ages, but love it, and always thought that it should be not too difficult to play (of course I never could -- don't think I tried). Anyway, thanks for the post, and I will be studying this a lot. What sort of amp/setup are you playing thru here?

    Best regards, John

I wish I could find somebody like you, who would teach me to play the guitar :)

  • Perfect bends, perfect sound, as said before, just like gilmour. I still prefer the pulse version of this solo, but it sounded awesome :D. For the fans of pink floyd watch the cover " Which one's pink".

Thanks kikoperes, helped me a lot to improve my skills.

  • GREAT!!! It helps a lot! Thank you!

  • Superb! 5*

  • woww fantasticccc brother....THANK U....

  • awsome

  • Dude That Was Fuckin' Awesome!!!

  • Where does one getting backing tracks to practice against like this (ie rhythm section only)?

  • this isn't a backing track. what you're hearing is mainly glimour's solo with the string snap of the player in the video.

  • Thanks Kiko, another gem

  • Wow. Excellent.

Any chance of a similar lesson on the opening solo in "Shine on you crazy diamond"?

  • best one yet by a mile , so many wanabee's just run through the tabs without paying any attention to phrasing , timming or attack , you rally have to "DIG IN" to make this solo work , great job man.

  • lol, i thought it was weird the way you played it, i play the first solo differently, but it still sounded right! Good job man

  • what effects are you using? you can really

  • whoops, prbably it's my browser which doesn't support posting replies, or it's just that i can't view the comments in a proper order or something... sorry for the mess >.>

  • perfect lesson i'd say!:)

you showed it in a nice tempo, as well as you had the skill to make the lesson...

(i mean, not like those guys who can't really play and tries to make lessons, of whom you do not learn a shit)

  • Perfect vibrato.
