@ste6666666 carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas. the greenhouse effect is an empirical fact and is a GOOD THING. it prevents heat leaving the earth so we have a stable temperature. the problem is when you dig up and burn for hundreds of years carbon reserves trapped underground. this INCREASES the amount of energy being trapped and it is reflected back to earth.

Governments are helping us to use more fossil fuels whilst talking about population control. Think about it what are they actually saying. yes, we do know that the other gases in the atmosphere such as nitrogen and oxygen do not trap heat, only carbon, methane and water. we have been able to measure the outgoing radiation of the planet since the 1970s with satelites and this has also empirically proven that there is less energy leaving the planet than ever before.

The earth is warming up and cooling down naturally, with a respective increase of CO2 and decrease of CO2. This increase of CO2 (so called greenhousegasses) is a result of increased temperatures not a CAUSE of global warming.
