Most younger people know only the Brenda Lee version. To be honest, I like it too. Brenda Lee always puts her unique stamp on any song she does.
But I like Vera Lynn's version just as well. Vera Lynn is another highly distinctive singer who always put her unique stamp on anything she did.
Each version has its own particular period flavor.
