  • hey man nice lesson !!!!

  • I love his voice

  • vary good break down of the tune. but in my humble opinion, if someone feels they need to be told how to play the chord shapes and scale patterns to this detail. i dont think they should be learning giant steps yet. that is not the words of a professional, its just what i think. great vid though

  • @guitarman801 My channel is based on teaching "The System of the Guitar Neck", which is something that most guitarists know nothing about...Chord Shapes and Scale Patterns are the parts to the System.. how they move on guitar constitutes The System...Giant Steps is advanced tune that I tried to make as simple as possible, using the System of Guitar itself..for those who are struggling with it. You'd be surprised at how many people don't know that chords are derived from the notes in the scale.

  • @TheSystemOfGuitar and i am in no way detracting from that fact. and you have done a great job at doing exactly what you set out to do. all i was stating was that if someone is at the level where they dont know that chords are derived for notes in a scale, they most likely should not be learning giant steps, and instead an easier tune. do you not agree?

  • @guitarman801 I agree with you and would whole-heartedly if it were not for the fact that I've run across loads of musicians, not just guitar players, piano players, horns, ect..who have chops that you wouldn't believe, and still don't know that the chords come from the scale...Shocking I know, but true, Where you or I would take that as a "given", they struggle thru certain changes. Yes I believe that you should know where chords come from before trying to tackle Giant Steps..

  • @TheSystemOfGuitar When you said "Giant Steps is an advanced tune that I tried to make as simple as possible using the System of Guitar for those who are struggling with it" I would like to tell you that you succeeded very well in your attempt, at least in my case and I want to thank you very much!!

  • My brains on fire, but so far I get it.

  • Great material keep it up!
