What about the manual AED's with handlebars why does the AED operator look at the pulse monitor like at hospitals and say "clear?" Is their a specific time to say "clear?"

These systems are so dummy-proof....ITS AWESOME
No more charges given when they are still alive...
LOVE THEM....the government should buy even more of them (ESPECIALLY in the fast food joints...where people are too fat fat and we can't feel their pulse. There have been way too many unnecessary shocks because we can't feel their pulse under all that blubber...these things don't do that :) )

but with all the plastic in his body, and the electrical shock, he could have causht on fire. lol. im jk. anyway, the stupid doctor perfrmed cardiopulmonary resusitation on a bouncy surface(bed) which was incorrect.

it has the old standards..all new cpr training does 1 shock, then 2 min of cpr..

well the correct protocol is if necessary after shock carry out cpr until the machine kicks in again which is 2 mins after first shock etc.
