@yourleader100 No need to get mad because I don't agree. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. To simmers, "arcade" means unrealistic simulation. I know HitS - a F2P MMO in the same genre as World of Tanks. Do you think WoT realistically simulates tank warfare? Those aren't sims. The argument isn't worth it. If you don't like Il-2 don't watch Il-2 videos. It's not bad for you to like MMO's, everyone has different tastes, and that's why there are so many different types of games.
@mickellemastra Sometimes you don't need them. In this case, it was no problem to keep up without having to use flaps. Generally, I like to use combat flaps in very low speed fights, like scissors. Depends on the situation really.
A rule of thumb: don't struggle too hard to keep up with a Spit's turning. If you have to use flaps, it should be on the defensive. If you are attacking, and he's turning too hard, consider a chandelle or something instead. Avoid tight flat turns like the plague.
G2 is very maneuverable but G6 late and K4 are to dificult to handle during a dogfight. I think G6 too. I usualy fly a FW but only using energy tactics as i flying alone...
@mickellemastra You have to do little turns and look to the side to see behind. It's good to sometimes do small turns in both directions to check behind and below you before returning to your previous course so that you keep an idea of what's going on back there. Also, always listen to that sixth sense. If you've got a bad feeling, always check again, because there's probably something breathing down your neck. Or take any later Bf109 with the Erla Haube canopy. They have much better visibility.
