The Fourteenth Dalai Lama has held absolute power of the Tibet for nearly 7 decades. In this time the Tibetans have never had the opportunity to cast a single vote on any issue against him. Dozens of presidents and prime ministers of democratic countries have been voted in and voted out, and even popes and archbishops have come and gone, but the Dalai Lama still clings on to power.

Before sweeping democratic reform was launched by the central government in 1959, Tibetan people had suffered under a system of feudal serfdom at the hands of religious-political rulers. The serf-owner class, consisting of three major estate-holders - local administrative officials, aristocrats and upper-class monastery lamas - exerted extremely brutal political suppression and economic exploitation on the serfs and slaves under dalai rule.

Dalai Lama has lost control that is why he threaten to resign if Tibetan don't listen to him. Dalai Lama accept and recognize that Tibet is part of China and Tibetans in Tibet are Chinese citizens and must be protected from anarchy, chaos and crime. Good job China!

H.H. the Dalai Lama is asking for meaningful autonomy. Tibetans have no say in what happens in Tibet in 2009.

DL is not sincere has ask for autonomy which means he recognize Tibet as part of China and yet he refuse to distant himself from the Tibetan separatist and foreign supporters such as the CIA. Every intelligent Chinese understand that TIbet is part of China. The DL and Tibetan separatist were exploited and use by foreign forces for their own political purpose it has nothing to do with free Tibet. China is sincere in free Tibet from foreign invasion.

CCTV says Tibetan Autonomous Region, NOT Tibetan Chinese Autonomous Region. So Tibet is Tibetan and does not belong to Chinese.

Ignorants of Old Tibet are just jumping on the bandwagon and blindly worshipping this serf owner of old tibet, who stays in 5 star hotels wears Gucci shoes eats meat, befriends celebrities while calling himself simple monk. He pulled compassion out of his ass in India coz Old Tibet was not Shangrilla under his rule.

2nd or 3rd generations of the Tibetan-in-exile, grew up in the west, speak English better than Tibetan, and have never lived in Tibet until their government send them there for business. They drink Coca-Cola, eat french fry, watch cartoon and play PS3, and meanwhile, they dont forget to cry:we dont have any freedom! We must go back to fight the evil!. Those are the rotten generations. we should cull them befroe they...annoy china some more
