  • beautiful snake, I get these by my house in Katy, TX.

  • @killercara i see them at bear creek in katy, or pretty much every park with water. they are super aggressive when they feel threatened, but honestly i would take a broad banded water snake over a water moccasin any day. (and i have been attacked by both)

  • yeah i live in south texas close to houston.i have killed 6 or 7 of the bastards already.they get in my koi pond and try to eat my fish.a good snake is a dead snake

  • Thats a good looking broad banded. We live outside of Houston Texas and see those often. Best looking of all the water snakes in my opinion. Good job:)

  • It is a broad banded watersnake, I catch those all the time. If you need to know whether a snake is venomous(in north america excluding coral snakes) look at the eyes, if they are vertical cat-like pupils then it is either a copperhead, cottonmouth, or rattlesnake.

  • Dude! You are good with that snake.

Wouldn't be surprised if you got a call from Animal Planet - They're looking for the next Croc Hunter!

    Cheers, Snake Master.
