I mistaken pull injection and gear as a unit?? How do I fix the problem?? I now put the engine on TDC, removed injection pump fr. gear, Then I put the injection gear with dowel pin at 4 oc'lock position try to align with engine, and put injection pump back??? Does it sound right?? Need help??
Glad to see a video with the proper pump removal procedure.
I'm thinking that height is probably an issue on the vans, but, on a truck you can tip the pump up as you slide it back and get all the lines to clear without removing them from the pump.
Wow I just pulled the pump off our 93 F350. It hasnt ran in over a year and a half now since I broke the pump trying to adjust it. Now I just need to get me a new one and put it on. Any tips on the installation as in like putting fuel in the lines to prevent air locking it?
I didn't tighten the lines down at the injectors at first. I also opened the schrader valve at the fuel filter to make sure I was getting flow there as I turned it over. It takes a lot of cranking to get it purged. It actually started seeping from the lines between cranks, and then squirted when cranking after that. I tightened the lines down after that and it ran.
where's video #2?

I never did the second vid. I ran out of energy and just wanted to get the thing running. I pretty much did everything in reverse order.
