  • shoulda played wide receiver...

  • yeah they need to trade this guy...now!

  • @billybackd00r A pussy that throws a 99 mph fastball

you can catch a pitch from him, TUFF INTERNET GUY

  • @billybackd00r ur an idiot because of his arm angle the way he throws a curve is pretty much pointless and the slider is extremely effective

  • if you really need a breaking ball, id go with a slider because of the better velocity and more ground balls. curves can too easily be hit if pitched badly. of course so can sliders, but it has a few more advantages...just my thinkin. i get what your saying though

  • all you really need is a change up. curve balls are almost pointless, they do more bad for a pitcher than good.

  • ask Nolan Ryan how much a curveball can improve your game

  • great, umm do you have his number? can you ask him how much his fastball was effective and how much a change of velocity can scewup a hitter? curveballs have a completely different release, grip, and arm rotation speed than a change up. itd be a lot easier to tell a great curve is coming and be able to not swing cause you know its coming, than a great change and swing and miss cause it looks just like a fastball.

  • not if you throw it properly. If you throw a curveball right you can make the release look the same as a fastball.. I throw a slider and I can release it the same as my fastball and even just as hard.

  • @kace842 you never said it broke?? so i guess it doesnt break haha, just a fastball with side spin that gets crushed for a base hit, good try though

  • @tholc123 I did leave one little thing out didn't I. O well shit happens. Everyone knows that a curveball breaks.

  • @kace842 doesnt always break, it only breaks if you throw it right. and throwing it as hard as your fastball is not throwing it right. if you can throw it as hard as your fastball and it breaks good, i want your autograph

  • @tholc123 I throw it one mile an hour slower than my cutter, and It breaks about four inches. I have trouble keeping it in the zone though, I have control issues with my cutter as well.

  • @kace842 You should find out everything possible about the cutter. Maybe one day you will be like Mariano Rivera.

  • hes not ready to be in the majors his stuff move to the middle to much

  • I think he may regret not going to the football route. Drew Hensen never rebounded when he went to the Yanks then to the Cowboys. I hope I am wrong and he's a stud, but seeing him, I don't know...

  • To be honest, I think he made the correct decision. He signed a 5 year, 10 million dollar contract, but remember thats guarnteed! Also, he could playMAYBE 13/q14 years of pro football, but if he lasts as a good pitcher he'll be around 20/23 years.

  • He does have electric stuff but I think he could be a closer than a starter, he's delivery is way too wild and his stuff just move too much to be a constant starter. Yes, I know he got hammered by the Phillies but I'm not basing my judgment on that game, I base it on the dominate first appearance. He just didn't look polish, more a thrower than a pitcher. I think he has the potential to be very good, but two words, Mark Prior.

  • yah i'd agree... he's really sucked it lately, but i think we should give him a little more time before completely dismissing him

  • jeff is from my hometown in valpo indiana

  • huge hands

  • GO GATORS!!!

  • oops i meant jeff

  • haha Jess Samardzija is my english teachers nephew!!!

  • then you famous! :)

  • go irish!

  • I am a diehard Cubs fan, and I love watching him pitch.

  • fuck your name

  • LOL!!

  • no, I will not

  • haha , don't worry about fuckthebeatles, hes a typical cub fan with no respect or a brain XD

  • It just seems so weird to watch the Irish' all-time receiving TD leader in baseball gear talkin about different pitches.

  • haha i was thinking the same exact thing

  • go nd

  • Although baseball will pay him more I really wish jeff Samardzija would have played football, huge Notre Dame fan and he was so much fun to watch.

  • ya but in baseball he aint going to get hurt as much and prlly have a longer career even though i also wanted him to go pro in football

  • @romo5353 Dude he was such a sick wide receiver. Him and Brady Quinn saved Charlie Weiss's ass for those years.

  • Go cubbies
