  • What manner he is perceived to get in is irrelevant, 83 is clearly pulling him forward, which should have been a penalty according to the rule.

  • Nice "pulling" by the other ND receiver. Any similarities on a play in 2005 where there was a "no call"?

  • No, because Smith got in the endzone on his own.

  • That was some amazing determination to get into the endzone. You just love to see plays like this which shows the true spirit of a player.

  • Indiana University Football at its finest

  • What a great play. He seemed like such a good person. I hope that he is happy in whatever he is doing.

  • I sat in the third row in the north field seats. The look on Smith's face as he neared the end zone is something I'll never forget. Not to be denied!!!

  • This is my Hero. My boyfriend and my partner in life. I am sooo proud of him. He is sooo amazing. Blessed person

  • I was at this game and had the pleasure of playing on the same ND baseball team as Irv. A class act all around and outstanding athlete. This was the loudest I've ever heard it at ND except for Rocket's punt return to beat Miami in '90

  • Determination

  • Man, IU looked horrible on that play!
