  • 230,000 liters? That's basically 115,000 2-liter bottles of water. Which is a lot, but doesn't really sound like *that* much considering we're talking about a dam which I would have imagined to hold more like a million gallons or more.

  • Same kinda thing happened in th US.

    Look for Teton Dam.

  • What the hell! This disaster is devastating. What a piece of crap made the dams to burst and kill 268 people?

  • I was 7 years old when that tragedy happened, i'll always remember the breaking news with the live images of Stava destroyed... I often go to Moena to spend my holidays, almost every year, and I always go to Stava every time I have holiday.

I won't forget the victims, even though i didn't know them.

I went to Stava yesterday, 5th july, to reach passo oclini, and i had my bones chilled... :(

Non dimenticherò mai, anche se vivo nella provincia di Venezia!

  • I live in Bolzano, near Stava. I can remember when I was a child a trip with my parents at the site. A piece of concrete 2 meters wide was the only debris of a entire hotel. Impressive. RIP.

  • can you give us the whole episode?

  • singapore!

  • Where can I see this episode???

  • i'll will always remember that day. Two brothers from the town I was living at that time were killed, Paolo and Davide, along with hundreds more. What a waste of lives due justo to the human greed...
