@M40A3 This is WAY Different than Total War. This game is more complexed and you really have to think when you do the battles. in Total war all you need to do is some basic maneuvers and the battle is won. Try the game before buying it.

I agree with you dude. Beside Creative Assembly, the creators of the Total War series, needs competition because Medieval 2 Total War and Empire Total War were sub par and were released with a lot of problems. Competition with improve the genre more quickly.

I was a huge fan of Rome, then I kinda liked medieval II, then Empire sucked balls.

My favorite part of these games was the geneology, how you could like kill off heirs of your enemies, and get a big family of skilled members of your own, but yeah instead of improving and expanding that idea, they got rid of it.

i am totally agreed with you. Empire more then Medieval sucks. I had higher expectation, it promised to be something interesting. I've played all TW series starting with shogun. In empire you are lost between two continents, i get bored so soon.Usually for a title from the TW series, i play it until i win with all factions. This time, only one or two faction

yeah, I usually play every faction too, and with empires they were all pretty much the same, take-over anyone who wars with you, and take over as much land in america/india as possible, but it gets pretty stagnant.

I hear that this game's battles are 10x better than Medieval 2. Every unit has like 80 characteristics ont he battlefield and not just moral and condition. The battles have a strategic level on a whole new class than Total War. Try it out, your Total War skills will not matter here.
