What makes it a terrible action is that he bowls the ball while remaining side on. It's rather ridiculous, actually. Side on bowling doesn't mean that you dont open your chest at some point. Just look at waqar, he was extremely side on until he landed. Then swiveled and sent the ball flying like a sling shot. Same with Thomson. This excess focus on remaining side on reminds me of idiots like Dominic Cork who had an equally pathetic bowling action.
